Hey guys,
I thought you might enjoy a little extra something while I get all your official rewards ready.
I have a practice routine everyday, and part of it is painting a 20 to 30min portrait before I start painting my personal pieces. I voluntarily restrict myself to 20 to 30 mins as an exercise to train myself in picking out the essential elements of my model and reference and it also means I can't think too much about my colour mixing and just have to make snap decisions. Its nerve-wracking but also really useful and it's like pushing myself off the deep end.
I started this exercise back in September but didn't manage to do it for long as Inktober and work picked up, but I would like to start doing it again as much as possible.
Here's a little timelapse of today's, as well as scan of the finished painting and my reference picture.
Would you be interested in seeing those more often, maybe a couple videos here and there, and a weekly post with all of them for that week together?
It would be available to my $5+ patrons.
