As you may know, Final Cut Pro has been my daily driver for freelance and YouTube work for about 11 years. Today, we're going to time-travel back to version 2.0 (with the original box) and try cutting some video on a Power Mac G3 (Blue and White)! More previews below…
Here's the installer discs for Final Cut Pro 2 and Peak DV—an audio editing application. I've never touched Peak DV before (honestly, I haven't heard of it) but now's the best time to try it out!
This was pretty awesome. Even though the box had been opened by a previous owner, the User's Manual was still shrink-wrapped : o
Here's a shot from behind the camera. Final Cut Pro is "writing" a render preview of composited text. Boy… once you see the rate at which this stuff renders, you'll be even more appreciative of what we have today.
