The key of the solo is A minor and there is a backing track available for download.

Chord Progression

Since the chord progression is based on the minor- and the major 2 5 1 progression I really recommend that you watch my Jazz Fundamentals Lessons.

The chord progression starts with the one chord, which is Am7.
The next chords are part of a two - five - one progression in the key of F (Gm7 - C7 - Fmaj7).
The progression ends with a minor two - five progression (Bm7b5 - E7).

You can play the A minor blues scale over the whole progression
Am7: A dorian or A aeolian
Gm7: G dorian
C7: C mioxlydian, C altered
Fmaj7: F lydian
Bm7(b5): B locrian
E7: E phrygian dominant, E altered

Altered Scale

In jazz, the altered scale (altered dominant scale) is a seven-note scale that is a dominant scale where all non-essential tones have been altered. This means that it comprises the three irreducibly essential tones that define a dominant seventh chord, which are root, major third, and minor seventh and that all other tones have been altered. These are:

the fifth is altered to a ♭5 and a ♯5
the ninth is altered to a ♭9 and a ♯9
the eleventh is altered to a ♯11 (equivalent to a ♭5)
the thirteenth is altered to a ♭13 (equivalent to a ♯5)
