Progress Report Week 1

First, I want to start by wishing everyone a happy and positive 2025. :)

Second, because there are a lot of things to talk about in terms of roadmaps, plans and future content.
I decided to split those topics into 2 progress reports.

This week, I'll be talking about the roadmaps and plans for the next six months and well as a important poll that I'd like to make.
Next week, I'll be talking about the ending content for Sarah & Shannon

Time Off

I'm happy to say that the 10 days that I took off did me good.
I feel more energized and I feel myself being a lot more positive after taking time off.
As mentioned in Progress Report 51, one of my goals for 2025 is to take better care of myself.

Taking time off when I need to instead of pushing through it and only making it worse.
For now though, I feel ready and energized to bring all of you another year filled with a LOT of content.

Sweet Affection 0.11.0

Now, let's turn our attention towards Sweet Affection.
I started working on the new content, last Friday.
And finishing the Level-Up event this month shouldn't be a problem.

I'm aiming to have all the art finished by the 10th, giving me a good two weeks to write everything and prep everything for Sarah's and Shannon's Ending Level 1
If I have enough time left, I will be implementing the Level E1 : 07:00 events as well.
But I can not guarantee that, right now.

Even without the 07:00 events though, 0.11.0 is going to be a BIG update which will bring A LOT of changes.
(That I will talk about, next week.)

Content Schedule for the next 6 months.

This depends a little bit on how January goes.
If I'm able to implement the 07:00 content, I will focus on only Side-Character content in February.
If I'm not able to implement it, I will implement a update with 07:00 content for Sarah and Shannon + smaller side character content.
For the schedule that I'm posting now, I will act under the impression that I won't have enough time.

January : Sarah & Shannon Level Up event, Part 2
February : Sarah & Shannon, Ending Level 1 - 07:00, 08:00 + Hazel Content.
March : Sidney Content + Eve Content
April : Sarah & Shannon, Ending Level 1 - 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00.
May : Maya Tyler + Kelly content.
June : Sarah & Shannon, Ending level 1 - 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00

This is my goal for the next 6 months.
I'm aiming to implement more Sarah & Shannon content, but this is the bare minimum that I want to do.
I am no longer going to make plans and assume everything will go perfect.

We've seen during the end of 2024 how one bad week snowballed into me having to change roadmaps all the time and push back the content that I had promised.
Which in turn caused me to have a lot of stress because I don't want to disappoint any of you.

So, I rather promise a little bit less and perhaps surprise you every now and then with a little bit more content. :)

Poll

To give everyone a little bit of time to think about it, I do want to explain what the poll will be about.

I have been working on Sweet Affection for many, many years now.
I love it, I hope that everyone knows that.
And I am not going to stop working on it until it is 100% finished, period.

However, I feel like I have reached the point where I really need to work on something else besides Sweet Affection.
I have so many ideas, so many plans.

But also quite simply, I need a second game to hopefully become a bit more successful as creator.
Not only to learn new things as a creator, but also to grow financially so we can grow as a team.
Sweet Affection, I will continue to develop it monthly with monthly updates, that will never change.

That is my promise to you and to the game itself.

But, the poll will be about me sacrificing a small section of development time from Sweet Affection (25%) every month so that I have time to work on a different game.
I will ask about your opinions on the matter and will ask you to vote on a poll.
And I will listen to what you guys want.

If the vast majority wants me to keep full focus on Sweet Affection, that is what I will do. :)
This Poll will be made on Wednesday, January 8th.
It will be live until the end of the month and only available for Subscribers.
(Results will be made public after the poll ends.)

If you have any questions regarding this topic, please ask me anything you want to know and I will do my best to answer them this Wednesday as well.

For now though, I am going to end this post.
Plenty of work to be done and LOTS of new content to create. :)
