ALSO, Raegan will probably be the last girl added to the harem (other girls mentioned like Kelsey and potentially Eve will be included, but no new 'harem members' will be introduced -- there are female characters who will be coming up in the story, but they won't be love interests).

There are plenty of girls who love 'hard and fast' like her in real life, so hopefully her change of heart doesn't seem unrealistic. Especially given the explanation of her personality both in the last chapter and this one.
3. Thoughts on Raegan's fangs and nails? (Something is obviously 'up' with her, but what do you think it is?)

But for stories sake and character building I think him and Claire need to develop his skills better or hers so he can get better visions like he did with Reagan, that was an amazing addition!

2025-01-13 04:08:42 +0000 UTCDefinitely need more of Reagan , at least right this moment until we know more about her lol, then fangs and claws didn't really surprise me, because I was already wondering if Kai could have possibly created her, he could have done it with Eve and not told Roland, just like he kept him in the dark about Rachael and her true self, and he didn't want him to find out and that's why he said don't watch her.....

Remember he can go and go and go non-stop until he must stop lol. But I due understand the point of the woman become almost washed out and becoming not so important the more you dilute his harem pool of woman.

I know we are in Kai’s head, but sometimes the stream of consciousness sections swerve hard into “telling” rather than “showing”. But seriously- fantastic intro to a new mystery character!

2024-06-24 07:45:47 +0000 UTCI try to strike a balance between drama/action and slice-of-life, because whenever things get really dramatic nonstop, people always beg for more slice-of-life, and whenever there is a bunch of slice-of-life, other people always complain that there isn't enough plot. So I try to go back and forth, so that we can have stretches of both, since I don't think it's realistic for the characters to 'relax' and enjoy each other's company when things are stressful.

2024-06-24 01:21:39 +0000 UTCIt just goes to show how long it takes to write. But if you read the story in one go, it happens in 'real time,' which was the overall goal. You can get lost in the story and take a week to read it, with an actual week passing in the story, and come out of it feeling like it all happened in real time. I do want to bring Nick back into the story, I just haven't found the opportunity to really do so in a meaningful way yet.

If we just spent time developing the last eleven additions (everyone including and after Elizabeth/Bethel & Delilah) I feel like there is 150 chapters of material there. And it's been said before, Kai can't save everyone. If more refugees come up it's time to start letting others like Nick, Mr. Watson and Roland share the wealth. That is, assuming that Nick and Mr. Watson eventually step up and are offered Kai's blood. We are also probably coming to a point where we could conceivably fast forward the plot. After we get past Trey and the incubus investigation team that is.

Her scent, the ability to craft a fantasy in a mate's subconscious, her dick grabbing womb, and of course her need to feed on lust firmly points to her being a 1st-2nd generation succubus. It hasn't been revealed yet how it would be possible for her to be a First generation, but the fact she's been struggling for years with her attraction/compulsion for at least a decade means it didn't start up at the end of HS. She said that she's "always" had issues forming friendships going back years, so...middle school? That definitely does NOT sound like a 2nd Gen or later succubus since their issues don't kick in until after adolescence. Then there is the whole claws/fangs thing. Possibilities for her father's origins are... -Noble (uncursed) werewolf succubus hybrid. -Dragonkin, like the one from the game. -Lamia, from CH, but Lamia depending on the source can be reptilian or feline based. -Sphinx, from Egyptian/Greek mythology and is feline based -Bastet -Goblin, from the game. -Amy number of mythological or legendary monsters across Greek, African, Celtic, Russian/East European, Oriental, Babylonian, Indian, Native American, Egyptian or Roman lore.

Going down memory lane, I think Nick could be a valuable addition to Kai’s subordinates/allies. The man already believes he owes Kai a debt and is willing to cover for him. Having another agent of the law on your side can’t hurt. Also his Sherlock Holmes-ish mind might indicate a supernatural heritage that can help him solve even more cases and maybe be promoted to FBI status. It would be sad to create such an impressive character only to use him for a few chapters
