Progress Report Week 29

First of all, I'd like to say that I made the Poll & Results public for everyone to see.

Second, once again... this is going to be a very long post.

Sweet Affection Build 0.8.8

But, first, let's talk about our current update.

Work has been going very smoothly, and I managed to get in a couple of long days as well

once my stomach flu disappeared.

Our goal is to start coding this Sunday and then hopefully start beta-testing on the 27th.

Our planned release date is still 31 Juli, but with a little bit of hope for the 30th.

If it becomes the 30th, the next progress report will be on Friday the 29th so we don't end up double posting.

The moment coding starts, I'm going to spend a couple of days working on the level-up event planned for October.

I'm going to need to do a lot of prep work, as well as create an entirely new location, and, I'd like to finish all of that before I start work on the actual content in October.

Once that is done, my focus will shift towards the 0.8.9 update, but, more information about that in the first progress report of August.

Poll Results & Plan for foreseeable future.

The results of the poll were unsurprising and surprising at the same time.

I was pretty confident about who the top 3 would be, and... I was right.

You voted on these 3 characters the most and they will be among the 5 that I will primarily focus on until their story is completed.

The surprising part for me though, was that the character Eve got the least amount of votes.

I really thought that she was another fan favorite, hence why I already planned for the 0.8.91 update.

I said that I would pick two characters myself as well, and even though I could pick everyone (because obviously I love developing every single one of them.)

I decided that I'm going to listen to the rest of your votes and fill the last two spots with.

And, the plan for the foreseeable future is to focus on those 5 side characters alongside M&S until their story is completed.

And, the planned Eve content for the 0.8.91 update will be replaced by level 3 content for Sidney.

Furthermore, with the previously communicated plan for after the 0.9.0 update.

I'm counting on giving all 5 of them at least 2 full levels during the Level 9 cycle.
