Important Message

We've been trying to avoid having to write this message, but unfortunately we now

have reached a point where we have to be completely upfront with everyone.

As some of you have already noticed and messaged me personally about, there hasn't been any activity on Patreon nor has there been activity from Boomatica on Discord this month.

The truth of the matter is, we haven't been able to contact him either for the past 3 weeks.

The rest of the team (Me, Quonix, Outside and Bloodyface) have no idea what is going on or 

if Boomatica is healthy and safe.

We've been hoping that he would pop back in the past 10 days or so, but unfortunately... he hasn't.

But as for now, there is not much that we can do apart from hoping and praying that he is alright.

Now, before anyone starts to worry about Sweet Affection, you don't have to, and I'll explain that in a bit.

Because Boomatica is the only person that has access to our Patreon page, we are in a difficult situation right now, a situation that we thought hard about the past week.

At first our idea was to just release the upcoming 0.7.9 build for everyone, but that would

cause another big issues for some of us.

Because Boomatica is in complete control of patreon, he is also in complete control of

the financial side of things.

So even if we would release the build for free on Discord, we would still be unable to

get paid.

Now, before anyone starts to get the idea "It's just all about the money and you should just release if for free"

You'd have to understand that creating Sweet Affection has been my personal full time job for the

past 2 years, a job where I've spend 60/80 hours a week on.

So, releasing the game for free... would simply mean me not being able to pay my bills, and having

to pause production on Sweet Affection.

So, what we came up with is that we are going to open up a new patreon page later this week where we will release the builds on like we usually do.

Now, this new page will still be a part of BA-Games, as will everyone that is working on it will be.

If/When Boomatica comes back, control of that page will be transferred to him if he requests that.

And even though I'm the current sole creator of Sweet Affection, the rights still are 100% with BA-Games.

What does that mean of the Production of Sweet Affection overall?

In short, not that much actually.

I will still create all the art and produce all the writing.

Quonix will still continue being a coding mastermind.

And Outside will still be the one that produces the music.

The only thing that will change is that it will be released on another page that is controlled

by the team.

However, obviously we need to reach a certain goal on the new patreon page within a couple of

weeks/months in order for the team to get paid and in order to pay our bills and continue development.

Development on Sweet Affection won't ever stop as I won't ever stop working on it, but in what capacity

completely is in the hands of the fans and the amount of people that will switch.

Now, I completely understand if people have questions and I'll be here as much as possible

to answer those, as is the rest of the team.

And obviously, people won't be charged double so we won't be doing any charged until the 1st of November.

We will continue to set up the patreon page accordingly in the coming week.
