2025-03-20 02:36:14 +0000 UTCI hope you return to this story to flesh out (per se) the other two imposters. Particluarly David Kim as I think there's a lot of untapped potential there. As the only person with a history with the James family -- and a "fondness" for Linda -- he certainly would have a different backstory. In fact, what do we know about him? He's a long-time friend of the family but what were his true feelings towards Dr. James and Linda. Could he have been secretly attracted to his friend and had a growing resentment for the wife: her beauty, her marriage to the doctor, her motherhood to two beautiful daughters? Could he even have known about the scalpel and foresaw its possibilities before the Doctor had? Would they be enough to induce David to arrange an "accident" that kill Linda in order to guide the Doctor into someday replacing her with his "dear friend"? Perhaps both daughters were just collateral damage in such a scheme but if so that would only add to Dr. James' grief and desperation. All the while his dear friend David studied and built upon his personal knowledge of the family, dreaming of the day he would take up his rightful, deserved place as wife and mother to the James family . ,
