I find these Coen Bros films very entertaining in an offbeat way. I must recommend "O Brother, Where Art Thou".

2025-03-14 04:40:06 +0000 UTCJust keep in mind whenever you watch the Coen Bros movies that it’s ok to laugh at any and all of it. All of their films weave a very specific brand of comedy into them. Fargo isn’t a true story, and if you ever rewatch it, you’ll appreciate more fully the absurdity of everything that’s happening.

2025-03-06 04:53:18 +0000 UTCThe TV series Fargo takes it's lead from the movie, but it's still its own thing. It's very funny in this same dark, deadpan way. I highly recommend it. It's got Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Colin Hanks, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Ewan McGregor, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Chris Rock, Joe Keery, Bob Odenkirk, Ted Danson, Jon Hamm, and SO many more!

2025-03-05 07:21:12 +0000 UTCOh yeah, you betcha, yeah. So Marge's husband is in some stuff that yall have scheduled to do at some point. I don't know if it's a spoiler to tell ya. I can't remember If he's been in anything that yall have done on the channel so far. Buscemi is on Monster's Inc too btw, yes Randall the villain. And in some Adam Sandler movies, he's so funny. And great at some of the creepier roles, like Con Air.

I think it’s so good and you should totally watch the movie before the show. And if you haven’t seen shameless, William H Macy (Jerry) is a main character in that and it’s a great watch.

2025-03-04 14:58:29 +0000 UTCThe Coen Brothers have admitted that it isn't a true story, and there's been a lot of different accounts by them regarding it over the years. Not to take anything away from it though, awesome movie. The TV series is a must watch, especially the first two seasons.

2025-03-04 14:34:57 +0000 UTCThat was the first time I have ever seen watched Fargo from start to finish! A very different and pretty dark movie but good attitudes of all those involved brightens the film quite a bit. Steve Buscemi is always great! On to the next one!!

2025-03-04 11:47:50 +0000 UTCO brother where art thou (another film by the Coens) is an absolute must especially with Nolan’s The odyssey coming out. O brother is a different telling of the Odyssey (and imo the best) Both of Troy and Ulysses gaze are also retellings of that infamous story
