If you think about it, though, if Harry hadn’t saved Cedric, Cedric would still be alive since the whole plan was for Harry to win and be transported to the cemetery. About the Dark Arts teacher position—so glad you brought that up! It’s said that Voldemort wanted the job, and when he didn’t get it, he cursed the position so no teacher could last more than a year (or something like that). Now, I can’t believe Mr. O actually guessed the plot of the movie! 😂 During my turn, I didn’t suspect a thing until the reveal. Also, they’re in their teenage phase now, with crushes and romantic interests. It’s such a fun touch that lightens the heavy tone of the movie a bit. Oh, and another thing! Barty Crouch Jr. (disguised as Moody) was the one who tortured Neville’s parents. That’s why he chose Neville in class to demonstrate the curse, it was pure evil, like psychological torture, and he clearly enjoyed it. I’m so excited for the next movies! You’re not ready for what’s coming. 😉

2024-11-28 11:51:47 +0000 UTCIt’s funny how the moment Mrs O finds out she’s a Hufflepuff, she has to watch the realest Hufflepuff in the whole series die by the end of movie “Good on my house buddy” 😂….RIP Vengence 🦡…and the Goblet of Fire/Tri-wizard tournament is just a tradition to bring schools together to compete just like the Olympics, there’s no other special reasoning for it. But it hadn’t been held for over 200 years cause it had such a high fatality rate, that’s why when they brought it back in this movie, you had to be 17 to compete.

I'll chime in about the "priori incantatum" Dumbledore briefly revealed at the end. When the wands connected, the most recent spells Voldy cast were imaged; those being the murders his wand performed last, including Harry's parents. Personally, #8 is my favorite, followed by #3. #4, #5 and #6 are all about equal.

So Voldemort needed Harry’s blood specifically to counteract the protection charm that Harry’s mom had accidentally cast. He talked about how he couldn’t touch Harry before because she sacrificed her self for Harry and it was old magic. By using Harry’s blood, that same blood that she died to protect now runs in Voldemort’s veins also so it nullifies the effect. As for Voldemort looking not fully human, it has nothing to do with his level of strength. We saw him create a hand out of thin air lol. But just years of practicing dark magic has basically stripped away his human physical features and in the books he is described to have a sort of snakelike appearance. Good catch on why Neville was upset about seeing the cruciatus curse (the torture curse) but also its extra messed up when you realize that it was actually Barty Jr and not Professor Moody who was doing it. Because they say in the memory that Barty jr participated in using that curse on Neville’s parents. So he knew from Neville’s last name that he was showing him exactly what he helped do to his parents. That’s all I got, excited for the next one!
