Edger is just smart enough to not fear homelander and talk back to him because he knows homelander deeply respects people that arenβt scared of him. I think edger is like the only one so far to know this. This is the real reason he didnβt kill butcher. He likes that butcher isnβt afraid of him. He also doesnβt like people being nice to him because they are scared. Which is another reason he killed stillwell. She told him the truth which was she was scared of him.

You definitely have to watch Gen V between the boys season 3 and 4. They call it a spinoff, its really important, I think it expands on the Boys story and it's for continuity.
