Ms. Marvel Season 1 Episode 5&6- FINALE!

Comments

I love Kamala, but in this last episode she was a bit to self righteous. DODC was attacking them and using weapons that put holes in walls, but she wanted to protect them, no. May make me a bad person, but I would have done the same as Kamran. If someone treats me like their enemy, than I am damn sure gunna treat them like mine!

So, out of the MCU TV live-action TV series you all have watched so far, the way I personally would rank them would be: Loki (season 1), Ms. Marvel, WandaVision, Hawkeye, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Moon Knight. I won't rate the others (Loki season 2, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, or Echo) since you all haven't seen them yet.

Ron Hubbard Jr

Other than Loki, I think this is the most original of the MCU TV series. I really enjoyed it despite not thinking I would when it started.

Ron Hubbard Jr

Ms Marvel has been part of the X-Men recently in the comics. Iman Vellani (Kamala) has also written a Ms Marvel comic which is really cool.

Ron Hubbard Jr

And just like that, mutants have entered the MCU...

The Statue of Liberty is made of bronze. It's turned green over time due to oxidization. The bronze color is actually a bit of continuity from a previous MCU feature. There was a scrolling headline or something like that on a TV in the background of a scene in the last Spider-Man movie (I think.. or The F&WS) that talked about the progress of a project already underway to remove the oxidized mineral layer and restore Lady Liberty to her original bronze color.

Thank you I just realised my card didn’t go through.

I think you need the other membership, the upgrade

What are yall watching the boys on??? I don’t see it on my screen

Tayshawn Williams

Darrell, I consider it a waste of energy to 'hate' things the way you do, does it make you feel any better that you let everyone know how you feel? This is not you first post about how much you hate Thor 4, why keep beating that drum? I respect your opinion, you don't like what you don't like, and at the same time you ought to respect that others don't necessarily agree with you. You like She Hulk, as do I, but it also got a lot of hate when it came out. Kudos to you for getting what it was, when many others did not. And finally, Werewolf By Night, has to be the B&W version, not the color one they released afterward. I have not even watched that version, the original was perfect the way it was.

I would say as far as ideas go all of these are straight from the comics even though they change em up a little but then again they have like hundreds of characters so yeah they are running out of ideas😂but going into the rest of the phase it’s more of bad writing than running out of stories to tell and ideas for characters etc not saying that every project is bad just tryna clear up the confusion on that part if it helps lol

i think going into To Thor Love and thunder, keep in mind, that this is a story told by Korg. no spoilers, just in the beginning korg talks and if u think the whole movie, that's its a Korg reimagining, it isn't horrible.

lol please read and comprehend firstly Sparky!

I agree about the show being targeted towards kids, but yeah Ms Marvel is adorable and her family is fun. I'm really excited for yall to get to The Marvels! It's very fun!! Thor: Love and Thunder is alright, but it's not my favorite either lol. I think a lot of people who didn't like this era of Marvel were just feeling a type of way. Still fun, but it does kick up as we get closer to Phase 5!!

Emili

Chase wasn't calling you a racist, so chill the hell out! However this show and others did get a lot of those kind of comments!

Steven Jump

One thing to keep in mind about Thor Love and Thunder is it's being told through Korg's( The Rock Giant from Ragnarok) eyes. There is one recurring joke through it that was funny at first but quickly grew annoying! However, there are cool and enjoyable moments in it.

Steven Jump

Hey 👋 guys next is Thor love and thunder

asia roberson

Racist??? Because some didn't like the series? I didn't like Thor: Love and Thunder either, and that is a pretty much white cast!!! Stop trying to pull the race card, Sparky.

Well. this is my second time trying to sit through this series and I'll admit I just had to skip to the ending . It just wasn't my thing. I loved Iman as Ms. Marvel. She is adorable, but the story is weak....ok, I'll stop there. I didn't like this show. As far as Thor : Love and Thunder? IT SUCKS! MAKES THE DARK WORLD LOOK LIKE A MASTERPIECE. (God, I hate this movie so much and I hate Taika Watiti for this piece of crap movie). When you get through with that piece of shit, it's on to She-Hulk and an actual enjoyable show. Even though I'm really looking forward to She-Hulk, I can't wait till you see Werewolf by Night. (before Halloween, please}

I have always loved the character of Ms. Marvel and personally thought this show was wonderful. The actress who plays her does such an incredible job, even better in The Marvels. It’s unfortunate that the show was review-bombed by some ‘fans’ who were racist and misogynistic. Despite it’s imperfections I believe it was a great show and sadly a lot of people missed out on it due to this. There is room for improvement but I hope it gets a second season. And the respect it deserves. Also they did change her powers from the comics to something new! As always amazing reaction🔥

For me, episode 5 was the most emotional. I almost cried when I saw Aisha on her last knees after Najma stabbed her. However, I liked that Kamala tried to reason with Najma. She doesn’t condone what she did to her great-grandmother Aisha, but seeking retribution isn’t her objective. Instead she reminded her that it’s not too late for her son Kamran to live a life of his own. What I loved the most about the final episode was seeing Kamala’s friends following along her plan, the community including the cops stepping in to help her, and Yusuf’s heart-to-heart which gave rise to Kamala’s superhero codename Ms. Marvel. During the final battle, the sonic cannon that was used Kamala and Kamaran is the same one that was used on the Hulk in his movie. The term “embiggen” is Kamala’s signature move. Originally, it allowed her to grow up to the size of a giant similar to Ant-Man. Just like him though, she can’t maintain a giant form for long. I wanted to tell you this in the first episode, but I felt it would’ve spoiled too much at the time. In the comics, Kamala is able to stretch her limbs. They changed the origins of her powers for this show for two reasons: 1.) it would’ve felt too similar to Mister Fantastic 2.) her idol is Captain Marvel who specializes in cosmic energy. When Bruno said mutation, you can hear a sample of the intro to X-Men: The Animated Series. I’m so glad you guys checked out the X-Men movies, and I look forward to your reaction to Deadpool & Wolverine when the time is right. In the meantime, I have some important information to share regarding Kamala mutant origin going back as far as about over a decade ago. In the comics, Kamala was originally supposed to be a mutant from the beginning. They wanted to include her in the MCU at some point, but at the time they were creating her 20th Century Fox still owned the character film rights to X-Men, Deadpool, and the Fantastic Four. So they decided to increase her chances of appearing in the MCU by writing her as an inhuman similar to Black Bolt who you met as one of the Illuminati in Multiverse of Madness. However, after Disney acquired Fox, they were finally able to move forward with the original plan. While we wait for you to get to The Marvels, Iman Vellani herself took part in co-writing a new limited comic run for her character. It’s called Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant. More recently, Iman also co-wrote a follow-up 4-part comic run called Mutant Menace. All eight issues are available now wherever comics are sold. Now that you made it this far, I can also tell you about an upcoming animated show called Marvel Zombies. It takes place in the zombie apocalypse dimension from What If season 1 and it follows the events of that same episode. It’s gonna be TV-MA (17+) since they promised it’ll have way more gore. I bring this up because an alternate version of Ms. Marvel is the most recent character joining a zombie resistance team. The first season of Marvel Zombies will consist of four episodes. Iman confirmed a few months ago that she already finished her recording sessions for the new show.
