2024-08-30 13:03:54 +0000 UTCI'm saying to maybe divide your list of suggestions into genre category (gritty, horror, comedy, drama, campy, satirical, thriller, classic, etc ... ), then place one of each genre on each poll. So voters would essentially be picking the best of each genre per week, which might rotate and mix up your content each week as well, expanding your variety, and speeding up the process of covering suggestions. Just observation that it seems like you'll watch a suggestion, then excitedly people will suggest all the other best ones related to that category, leaving you to sort of be stuck for awhile going down a list of only one category. Like this poll is mostly all best movies of one genre of film type. Instead you could try polling each time with best suggested movies from *different* film types/genres, which could get you through more movies quicker, while also expanding variety of content so it doesn't get stuck on just "superhero film or tv dramas" for weeks, or "gorey psycho thrillers" for weeks?

I know you'll eventually do all, but it's triggering a fight or flight response 😆. An idea: Poll with a suggested/popular movie from each genre, then go in order of winners, rotating genres to mix up the content? Then maybe when you have more time one week or something, do a special extra category of collections for certain directors or franchises to round it out/catch up quicker??? 🤷🏾♀️ This way you might not be stuck on a streak of only one genre or category? 😆 (unless that's your kick, then have at it) 😊

2024-08-28 23:56:10 +0000 UTCWatchmen is in its own category. It is truly a classic. The comic book changed comics forever, ushering in an era of more adult content. It's the inspiration for a lot of modern themes and definitely for The Boys. The movie was awesome and did an amazing job of recreating the comic. I highly recommend it even if it loses to Blade as it looks like it will. It also sets up the world and story for the HBO series The Watchmen which came out a few years ago and is also amazing.
