Even if she had enough clout to save him from execution, there is no way Viserys would allow a psychopathic murderer on the kingsguard to protect his family. It is indeed a plot hole, and recognized by the Official Plot Hole oversight committee. And at point, he had JUST told her about sleeping with Rhanerya, he wasn't acting as her "right hand" or anything. It would have made way more sense if her reaction to his attack at the wedding was "AND HE DICKED THE PRINCESS!".... not "BUT I LIKE HIM, LET'S JUST FORGIVE HIM." And, finally, this happened at the Velaryon's freehold. They would be the ones in judgement.

So Rhaenyras kids and Alicents kids are all princes and princesses. Daemon is a prince too even though he's extremely far from the line of succession because his grandfather Jaehaerys was a King! Also fun fact the only other Princes and Princess in the Westeros are the Martells because the Targaryens never conquered them they instead agreed to enter the 7 kingdoms through marriage. Because of that pact The Martels have no King but they do have a higher standing than other Lords which is why they get to marry Targaryens sometimes in history. Like Elia and Rhaegar for example!

2024-06-19 18:40:45 +0000 UTCDaemon did kill his wife but that’s after she was already paralyzed…the actor for daemon said it was a mercy kill because she was paralyzed but of course he benefited off it because in doing that he could now marry rhaenyra…daemon never liked his wife because he didn’t like the fact it was a arranged marriage when he was 16 smh he never even attempted to have sex with her either so I’m sure she started to resent him as well

Maybe you didn’t notice but Larys and Harwin are the ones who talked about green being the color the Hightowers fly when they call there banners to war when Alicent was walking into the wedding party in her green dress

I like to think that it's a nod to Bran being the Three Eyes Raven, and that it's actually him, there, seeing the past. If you rewatch GoT, you'll notice that alot of times when something sneaky is going on, you'll hear a raven caw.. like Bran is there, watching. HotD season 2 starts with a raven flying. So, long story short, listen for ravens! I notice them in HotD too, especially when people are talking by the Weirwood tree.

She is going so hard about this “betrayal” like she didn’t literally hide the fact that she was sneaking with rhaenyra’s dad behind her back. Yet, she expects rhaenyra to tell who she is sleeping with after years of animosity between them. She is just jealous that rhaenyra has more freedom than her. The contrast can be seen in the last episode with alicent and viserys bedroom scene and rhaenyra and daemon brothel scene.

But yeah, I'm surprised he wasn't thrown in the dungeon right then and there or sent to the chopping block. And someone would have to ask why the queen is giving him a pass, and what would her answer be?

They talked about it a lot when they were making season 1 that Ryan Condal was in charge of the scripts and dialogue, while Miguel handled the way they show looked. So any issues you have with season 2's dialogue isn't really a reflection on Miguel leaving because he didn't handle that part of the show anyway.

Maybe you weren’t paying attention when that happened and didn’t realize they asked us to do it. In fact I said compared to other shows it was amazing. Compared to Season 1 my personal opinion was I thought it wasn’t filmed as well. This is a comment discussion thread not War. I was simply doing what they asked us to do.

2024-06-17 22:19:35 +0000 UTCAlright I gotta say it - huge plot hole that Criston Cole (who i hate more than I ever hated anyone on GOT) would be allowed to stay in the kingsguard after that. Not only did he murder a friend of the prince in the middle of a royal wedding for no reason, he also punched the prince in his face... in his castle. Even if you wanted to believe Alicient has enough clout to save him from being killed for that and be sent to the wall or something less severe, there is no way in hell they would be okay with letting an obvious psychopath stay in the kingsguard.

I love the young cast but the older cast is amazing! You noticed the opening credits change!!! It now reflects Rhaenyra’s 3 children :) Also peep when viseys had to make the choice he asked if the baby would make it. But Daemon in the same position asked if the mother would survive and we stan that. Lol

Viserys is peaceful and he's striving for unity and love among his family but each member is so caught up in their personal dramas they aren't fighting to maintain the Targaryen dynasty as a whole. It's pretty sad for him. Lyonel Strong would be my choice for Hand of the King. He has always been straight with Viserys everytime he's asked. You were correct...Ser Harwin Strong....was the one who rescued Rhaenyra at the wedding. Lyonel Strong is the Lord of House Strong and Lord of Harrenhal. Larys Strong so much like Littlefinger...sneaky, calculated and heartless. He was born with a clubfoot. It's a birth defect where the baby's foor is twisted and may appear backwards or upside down. I think Criston Cole beat Joffrey to death because he was in love with Rhaenyra. He went into a blind rage at the thought of her marrying someone else, his shame over breaking his vows and his disgust at the thought of a polygamous relationship. (According to my husband..."He was butthurt and embarrassed that someone else knew.) Now the story is about to turn up a bit....can't wait to see the rest with you! Great reaction!

It was a noticeable difference in flow, transitions and dialogue in my opinion. Compared to other shows it was amazing. Compared to season 1 I don’t think it was filmed well.

2024-06-17 15:32:36 +0000 UTCHaven't watched the reaction yet, just answering your first question about who Otto told: I think you may have been misled. Vyserys' issue isn't that Otto told someone. It's that Otto was making something out of a thing that could destroy Raenyra. True or not, it's all in the perception and Otto is giving it life by bringing it to Vyserys as a serious matter. I'm not sure that's exactly fair to Otto but that's how Vyserys sees it. I'd be curious to what Vyserys thinks should have been the ideal reaction from Otto. Not tell him?

He was removed because the king realized that Hightower pushed Alicient on him because he wanted to be grandpappy to a king. He wanted his line to merge with the Royal line. As Hand, you are supposed to put your king above all and in this case the king realized his hand was wiping his own ass first. Knowing that Otto was actively working to get his grandson named as heir over Rhaenys, Viserys told him to get bent.
