Venom (2018) Reaction

Two of the best cameos in this: Stan Lee (as always) & Bellick from Prison Break.

We did not understand the negativity surrounding this one bc it was just a fun time to us!

The only thing we knew about Venom before this was the Bully McGuire version! So this was a fun way to understand it a little more!

Tell us what you think about this title and can't wait to see where it takes us or how it will connect!

Venom (2018) Reaction

You guys planning on doing DC next? At least Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Snyder Cut of Justice League

Chase Schleich

Marvel isn’t done. Only comic book fans would say that. Die hard ones. These are just regular people hints they are liking most of the marvel movies some of y’all despise. They don’t have all the information which is a good thing. They can honestly tell us if the movies are good because like I said they are not gonna be biased like most of you. Marvel is far from done.

Tayshawn Williams

NO but we heard Jameson and we didn't put it together :(

Mr. October

This is a fun one! I’m so happy you guys enjoyed it! You might want to watch Venom: Let There Be Carnage after Loki season 1 and before Spider-Man: No Way Home to get the best viewing experience of No Way Home and not be confused. Tom Hardy makes this movie, and has such great chemistry with himself! Tom provides the voice for Venom, so he would record Venom’s lines and then have them playing on an earpiece in his ear when filming scenes of Eddie and Venom talking. So he really is just acting and talking to himself 😆 This movie subverts several tropes. Dan being a good guy and having conviction for his job as a Doctor by trying to help Eddie when he saw he was sick. Eddie and Anne not getting back together in the end. Not only do we not get the customary shirtless scene of the main actor, he actually spends most of the movie a sweaty/wet, unhealthy looking, crazy mess. As always, I had a great time rewatching this with you guys! Love the steady flow of content, thanks for all the hard work!

CheshireKat528

Have you seen Bronson from 2008? It is a very interesting film and Tom is amazing in it!

CheshireKat528

Didn’t the term Spider-Verse first get mentioned in the animated series?

CheshireKat528

Yes! The 90’s Spider-Man animated series was my first real introduction to the character. I started watching it because of the X-Men animated series. I loved the 90’s interconnected MAU or Marvel Animated Universe!!!

CheshireKat528

Came back to ask, did yall notice that the astronaut in the beginning was J. Jonah Jameson's son?

ShittyShittyGameGang

New sony marvel movies are pretty bad in my opinion. They should just stop and let mcu handle all.. Even tho mcu making some pretty bad projects atm too 😅

Monkey D. Tomy

I love Spiderman 3 because I love Topher Grace lol.

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Agreed!

Lady Stoneheart (Uncat)

Venom, Deadpool and Iron Man have always been my favorite. I think maybe I enjoy their sarcastic tone and smart-ass wit? Kind of mirrors my own...Lol. I love Venom Let There Be Carnage too...even if it's not completely accurate. (My husband points all that out often...haha) I think there are more than 40 symbiotes in Marvel....Venom, Carnage, Riot, Toxin, Scream, Scorn, Agony and Phage are a few. I had to read up and investigate after this movie...got me confused! Thanks for the reaction...great as always!

Jessica Houser

HELL YEAH with that Lizzy mcguire call out lol love you for that

Megan Burland

Tom Hardy had the honor and privilege to play two of the most iconic, brick sh*t-houses of the Marvel and DC universes…Venom and Bane, respectively. He’s also a versatile chameleon when it comes to his parts. Like playing a proper, foppish British master-of-disguise in Inception to a brute, unforgiving, unrelenting Pittsburg cage-fighter in Warrior. And so much more. He’s an international treasure of the film industry 🥰

Kiera Walker

Tom Hardy was Bane in Batman, The Dark Knight Rises. Have yall even watched DC films yet? Oh Lawd. Man of steel, BVS, Batman begins, the dark knight. Yall need to get on it. Marvel is done lol.

Sam Fisher

Was looking up Tom Hardy movies and apparently they just announced yesterday that Venom 3 has a release date in October! Nice timing yall! You may have seen him in Band of Brothers or Inception btw!

ShittyShittyGameGang

I really like the Venom movies myself, glad you guys liked this one as well. You may have seen the actor that plays Eddie (I think his name is Tom Hardy) in Mad Max: Fury Road...and I think he was in a romantic comedy called This Means War.

ShittyShittyGameGang

You guys are two too much. Thanks!

Jonny

Most of the negativity comes from not being very faithful to the source material and no Spider-Man. Other than that it was one hell of a time for me. About the comment about why the symbiote makes you "edgy". That's all the way back in 1994, thanks to the animated Spider-Man show on Disney+, that changed A LOT of the origins of the characters we know and love. Some say Sam Raimi made his movies in adaptation to the animated series and it really shows. The symbiote in the show corrupted and made the hosts aggressive, originally it just made you stronger but always took the hosts on late night trips when they were sleeping. I'd definitely recommend the animated Spider-Man series as it is a game changer to Spider-Man lore.

Jason Rogue

I liked the 1st Venom. Its the 2nd Venom most people dislike. That was terrible. Lol.

Jonny

Aghhh let me finish Wandavision first 😆 love watching y’all’s reaction. Ms October, I’m here crying with you!! Mr. October cry! You’re allowed to. No judgement. if you could see us crying we would cry with y’all 🥹🥹🥹 anyways now for this one!!! 😊
