It could have been communicated better on screen if that was their intention.

As far as this season goes, Joffrey's death is just a small part in all the stuff this season throws at you. Not saying what's coming, just strap in tight, this ride is kicking into high gear. As an aside, specifically for Mr. October, the least favorite movie that you reacted to is about to have its sequel come out, Dune 2. Since you are so deep into GOT now, I thought I might point out that RR drew some inspiration from Dune. Great Houses vying for power, political intrigue, mysterious mystical stuff as an undercurrent, and creatures so powerful (dragons/sandworms) that they seem invincible. I think the reason Dune did not satisfy you was the fact that it was just the world building portion of the story, and I am willing to bet that if you see part 2 (in a theater preferably}, your opinion of part 1 would change, because things that were confusing will be explained. I hope you give it a chance, early reviews from screenings indicate it delivers the story in powerful fashion. Thanks for reading my humble plug for a truly classic story.

2024-02-21 18:42:51 +0000 UTCYeah the grape scene was how you interpreted it in the book, more objection to the circumstances, not the intercourse. They Did the Purple Wedding in EP 2 to soothe some of the pain from the Red Wedding, it wasn't a switch up from the usual. You kind of missed a lot in the episodes that the dialogue and visuals told and showed you explicitly when commenting about something else over it, so just keep taking those notes and catching stuff while editing, because there's too much to try and correct in a comment lol. And I really can't see that much how you feel from here so I wouldn't worry as much about it. If you're sick you're sick, whatever, we don't need a performance. Just wanna know when things will drop lol.

When Tyrion was talking to Jaime I done think he was trying to dig at him for Joff being his, I think he was trying to say "you lost your son too" In response to him saying Cersei lost her son. When Pod said Ser, I don't think it was a dig at her looking like a man, it was because he didn't know if she was a knight.

If you rewatch the Purple Wedding feast, you’ll see Olenna straighten Sansa’s necklace and very subtly take one of the gems off of it.

I try not to get too deep with my analysis within the show bc I'd hate to spoil anything by accident. The Cersei/Jamie scene is so uncomfortable to watch. Lady Ollena is such a brilliant character. One of my favorites. Hope you feel better! And no need to apologize, I have 2 boys. They're always hacking and sneezing so it made me feel right at home lol

She was holding Margaery's necklace the same way she held Sansa's at the wedding. The necklace with the poison crystals. You can rewatch the wedding scene where Olenna was speaking with Sansa at the wedding reception.

The 1st Daario seemed kinda shady imo. Speaking of movies, did you know Cersai was the beautiful queen in the movie "300" with Gerard Butler? She's so talented, every smirk has depth.

2024-02-21 05:36:23 +0000 UTCThe Jaime and Cersei scene was very rapey but it was accidental, the crew and actors whilst filming it didn’t intend for it to be like that and when George r r Martin saw it he rang Dan and Dave to ask why, they said they didn’t mean for it to come that way and it was down to poor camerawork
