Game of Thrones Season 2 Episode 9 Blackwater!

Sorry Mrs O is a little sick still but she still can't wait to watch some GOT!
The song at the end is the Lannister song (the Rains of Castamere), which is the same one Bron was singing with the other men before the battle. (Tyrion was also whistling it in an earlier episode, but that’s not a detail you notice until a few rewatches.) I just joined your Patreon since I couldn’t wait to see this (and I like the extra footage / uncut episode).

This is one of my favorite episodes in GOT. The hound tries to give Sansa wake up calls about their world throughout the season trying to teach her not to be naive. He's pretty scary but cares about Sansa being somewhat safe. Great reaction as always!

This episode was so tough for real cuz there wasn't a clear side I wanted to win. Like I love Ser Davos, Tyrion, & Bronn. And I sure didn't want Joffrey to win, but I wasn't really rooting for Stannis either.

Cersei’s giving Sansa real advice and being more honest than she’s been with really anyone in the series so far. Don’t miss out on that just because the show frames her as a bad person. If there’s anything she truly has sympathy for besides her children, it’s a young girl forced into a loveless marriage since that’s what happened with her an Robert.

Saw your post with all the notes last week. Note-taking is good but don't let the deranged fandom of this show bully you into treating the show like homework or an assignment. None of us were taking notes when we watched the show at first and we loved it all the same. It's a TV show, not a school project. Anything you need to be reminded, the show will remind you either in the recap or in the dialog.
I have seen reactors devolve into essentially transcribing the show because they are terrified of fan criticism for missing anything and it's crazy.
Lie back and enjoy the show without worrying about this crap. Screw the haters.

Yea Stannis has some of the best one liners in the show…he said “Thousands” like he was ready to die lol. First one on the ground and first one up the ladder tho so he backs it up. Baratheons stand on business.

I think Stannis baratheons plan was to get his army through the mud gate while killing lannister troops to eventually make it to the red keep and sit his throne stainnis’s plan wasn’t specifically just killing Joffrey because once he takes the city every Lannister head would’ve been put on a spike anyway Lannister’s that include Tyrion Cersei her children etc stannis’s whole goal is to sit the throne that is rightfully his.

The Targaryens held the throne for 300+ years. And before that, Westeros was just a collection of small "kingdoms". The Targaryens conquered them and made them one place. And remember, the Lord of Light is just another god, not the devil. There isn't a "devil" in these religions.
