The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) Reaction

Okay you guys.....
THIS ONE RIGHT HERE!
PS Made Mrs. O cry like 6 times, thanks for that.
This film killed this series of Spider-Man movies. There was supposed to be at least one more (possibly even more than that), but both critics and viewers hated this one. After Spider-Man 3 (the Tobey movie) got such terrible reviews and then this movie failed Sony went into panic mode and that's when Marvel/Disney stepped in and made the deal for the Tom Holland films and their inclusion into the MCU to try and bring people back to loving Spider-Man again. People are nostalgic for Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man now and I think most of us wanted a 3rd film. Maybe now we'll finally get it. Not sure what's taking Sony so long to get to it though. They've been making terrible Spider-Man universe movies (with no Spider-Man) for years now. It amazes me that after No Way Home they didn't get on a new set of Tobey and Andrew Spider-Man films. There's a lot of money just sitting there waiting to be scooped up and Sony has been too dumb to do it. Tobey and Andrew are both down to play Spider-Man again so there's really nothing stopping them except Sony.

With Deadpool 3’s current release date and the amount of MCU-specific content they still have ahead of them, familiarizing themselves with the Fox X-Men franchise can be done over a longer period of time (like two movies a month, if that)…As far as MoM, without giving away any spoilers…They can look at a poster for any X-Men movie and the reference will probably not be lost on them, lol.

it's not only for WandaVision though, MoM too. Deadpool 1 & 2 will be needed also for the next one that exists in the MCU.

Garfield is the best spider man, Toby is the best Peter Parker, Tom holland is the best blend. No way home i think will be your favorite but hopefully you’ll watch it soon.

Into the spiderverse can kinda just be watched whenever. They are crazy good movies though so would highly recommend!
Regarding the Xmen movies, its a bit of a tricking one because 5-6 of them are really good but they kinda of got worse as time went on. Love love <3

Honestly, any connection that WandaVision has to the Fox X-Men films is tangential at best and fairly…ambiguous…However, if you insist on polishing them all off before continuing on with the MCU journey and are hesitant on what to publish, any reference in WandaVision for the X-Men franchise is localized completely to the soft-reboot “First Class” films (First Class, Days of Futures Past, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix).

First of all you guys are doing great. So don't worry about trying to please everybody...especially those on youtube because you know those people are never happy lol. IMO you guys should start your xmen journey but don't worry about putting them all on yt. If people on there want to watch all the xmen reactions then they can come over here and watch them. After that jump back in to the mcu with spideyverse and Wanda and all the other newer movies. One thing for sure tho....no matter what you guys watch most of us will be here so don't stress. Also....there is no hurry, take your time and enjoy the ride cause we sure do .

You’re not going to please everyone all the time, so don’t get caught up in the nonconstructive opinions and demands. Most of us appreciate your dedication to your audience but also want you to react to what you want. I don’t think it’s necessary to watch ALL of X-Men before Wandavision — maybe that suggestion was more for Ms. Marvel and the Deadpool films? With regards to Spider-Man movies, I agree watching Venom (the 1st one at least) would be helpful. And the Spiderverse animated movies are just beautiful and overall awesome…you’ll both love those.

Interesting intro...I love watching your channel's growing pains evolve, I've always gotten the feeling you're really dedicated. About the line-up going forward: I prefer the mixed bag approach.

You can check out the first miles morales spiderman (into the spiderverse) whenever you want. Just let us tell you when to watch the 2nd one (Across the spiderverse) because that was released in 2023 so obviously it could spoil things

I’d say watch the first Miles Morales movie now, you’ll enjoy it more now cause all the Spider-Man references they’ll make to Tobey or Andrew’s Spider-Man in Miles movie will be fresh in your head since you just finished them. Then take a break from Spider-Man and watch the X-men movies…after X-men you can watch Wandaviison and the other MCU shows/movies until No Way Home and then the second Miles Morales movie after that….you can watch the venom movies whenever you want really as long as it’s before No way Home, you’re good.

Yeah for sure. Venom is in the Sony universe with these other Spider-Man movies so it’s generally unrelated to X-men and the mcu

thanks for answering this! i’m thinking since it’s two we can knock those out before that x men journey if it makes sense

The spiderverse movies are legit incredible, awesome animation and the story is so great. You can watch Venom whenever now really, sprinkle them between x men or after doesn't matter but just watch them before No way home at least so you got a long time.

definitely the saddest death scene in any superhero movie to me and Andrew Garfield’s acting in this movie is insane, it’s sad he only got 2 movies
