Egee's YouTube Appeal Denied
Added 2025-01-06 15:12:58 +0000 UTCHey Flufferschnoots. Well, unsurprisingly, my appeal was denied. In record time, too! They claim my channel (the whole thing, I guess) violates the "sex and nudity" policy.
I do this whole shebang as a hobby and I have probably 80% of my content backed up, so I'm personally not too heartbroken about this. I'm exceedingly unimpressed with YouTube's moderation automation and very sad for my Flufferschnoots.
I've received dozens & dozens of support messages. My Twitch stream last night was popping. But my Flufferschnoots are sad that they are missing the content that helps them relax and sleep. And that sucks. 😠
Because YouTube is so obtuse with their policy enforcement, I have no idea what exactly caused this channel ban. I have a lot of guesses but the fact is something tripped the auto-mod, so I'll have to be extra careful next time.

EDIT: It was recommended that I do not return to YouTube as it may be seen as ban evasion, which sounds reasonable. I'll figure out what my next steps are later.

I think that had something to do with it tbh. I don't think it was "one video" or something. I think it was a cumulative thing which included backlinks to nsfw work such as on Patreon. If that's true, a lot of people are in trouble though..

2025-01-07 03:39:01 +0000 UTCIt might have been some of the patreon content that was linked to youtube being the reason? I know YT has also been on a ban spree in general with this stuff, so maybe you got mass reported or just automod. I know some people have gotten their channels reinstated by calling it out on Twitter but its been varying success, sometimes its reinstated just to be taken down again, just a bad situation in general.
