This is why I like watching people's 1st time reaction/viewing of the MCU (and other things) because it is like watching it for the 1st time!

2023-09-09 04:56:44 +0000 UTCANT-MAN!!! I love this movie, it is easily a top 5 MCU movie for me, so far. I enjoy the simplicity of the story and the characters. This one doesn’t take itself to seriously or try to be something it’s not. It is just good old fashioned wholesome fun with a great family dynamic. It is rare that a movie shows a blended family that comes together and gets along in the end to focus on what is best for the child. It is more common to drag out the family drama and or try to get the parents back together etc… I also enjoy the “science” this movie suggests and the possibilities it presents. Like Hank said “it could change the texture of reality” Scott in the quantum realm is a trippy scene. I love when these movies lean into the trippy and present theories that make you question your own reality and place in the universe. Size, time, space, its all relative. I don’t know much about the comics, but I do know they can get way out there, and just weird at times. Not everything in the comics would translate well in terms of movie making, but I am so happy they figured out a way to make Ant-Man work and can’t wait for you guys to see how it all comes together. One more thing I love about this movie is how horrific and gruesome the deaths are for such a lighthearted family focused film. One minute we are all gushing over how cute Cassie is, and in the next moment you are watching a guy get shrunk into a tiny pile of goo and flushed down a toilet 😱🤢😱 Not to mention the way Darren gets contorted, and balled up like a piece of paper as he shrinks out of existence. Also poor Janet, ( Hank’s wife) knowing that she may still be alive somewhere in the quantum realm just continuously shrinking for all eternity. That is an such horrifying thought. I know you guys just met her in Age of Ultron, but I would want Wanda’s abilities. Telekinesis, telepathy, mental manipulation, with those abilities you could control anyone & anything, for the most part. Idk that I would necessarily want to be her, girl has been thru some trauma. Her parents were killed in front of her when she was 10, then her brother getting gunned down by a maniacal sentient robot, that she helped create, not to mention her home country is now completely destroyed, and that’s just in the one movie 😜 Happy to see you guys enjoyed Ant-Man, I still need to watch your GOTG and AOU videos 😆 I am way behind! Have a great weekend!

Vibranium is the strongest metal on earth. Hank Pym also created Vision. I don't know why Hollywood had to change the origins of certain characters. The MCU is great but I wish it would follow the comics.
