Life Moves Fast!

It's been about 3 weeks since my last Update post in April and a lot has changed since then. Some good, some less than good.

Job Stuff

The job I mentioned in the April Post didn't work out. Worse, I've had no leads since this one fell through. I ranted a bit about it on Mastodon (which I've since removed because it's admittedly not very professional) but the job situation is looking increasingly dire.

I've been watching the layoffs, the "zomg please hire me!" posts on LinkedIn, and all the sycophants chanting "AI is the future!". I'm coming to the conclusion that Full Time work isn't the way. Even if I scored a job, it's only a matter of time before I'm here again, right?

I've begun to shift focus on consulting for local businesses. I started a consultancy last week and I've already met with two clients this week. My sister runs a local shoppe so I've been working with her. One of my clients this week is a vendor of hers!

Egee Stuff

Not focusing on FTE work means I have significantly more time to focus on Egee stuff, which is so freaking exciting. I cannot believe how the channel has grown and I've been wanting to make more content but just haven't had the time.

I'm starting to get into a schedule where I can reliably record without life getting in the way. I used to record super early but I've actually stopped because my brain is just too mushy (groggy maybe?) to get the deep thoughts flowing.

Friday seems to be a good release day for public YouTube so I'll keep aiming for that. I really enjoy doing supporter stuff and that's easy to work into a schedule since it's mostly just audio stuff that can happen whenever.

Upcoming Projects

• Roleplays: We've got like 3 different rp's sketched out. You will love them 😈
• Egee Store: I still want a store for selling Egee stickers and things. It'll happen, it's just slow going.
• Egee Dating Game: Also still planned. I'm kind of waiting for the creative passion to strike before I dive in again.
• Discord: In progress, it'll be great!
• Live Streams: I did one for YouTube Members and it was fun. I need to practice more but I'd like to do these more regularly soon!

It's Thanks to you guys that any of this is possible. I said it before & I'll say it again, I had no idea there would be so many supporters. I'm able to consider Egee as a tangible revenue stream and that is unbelievable to me.

I have a lot of fun summer plans and I'm so excited to have you all with me. It's only going to get better from here!
