The Void. (+ book preorder info!)

Hello my gemlins~! 

I've been packing orders nonstop ever since the books arrived last week and haven't touched Clip Studio ever since 😵‍ Up until last night 💞
I don't like taking breaks from drawing for too long, I always feel like I'm forgetting how it all works, so I took a few hours before bed to draw Charon. It was meant to be just a quick doodle to calm my urge to draw but in the end I finished it and like the result enough to share it with you!

I gave Charon a little redesign recently and I'm quite happy with their looks now~ Over the last few months I've also been thinking about Charon's gender a lot, or more specifically - pronouns. Charon has no attachment to gender, they're a Keeper of Souls, human basically only in appearance, and that's been the case ever since I created this character. Back then, in the early 2000s, I didn't know they/them pronouns are even a possibility, also because gender neutral pronouns simply aren't a thing in German (or at least - they didn't use to be and even now it's not something that's widely used or accepted).
I'm not sure exactly how to explain it, but I have a strong, personal desire to let Charon be the agender, barely human, yet very human, creature that they've been for so many years, including they/them pronouns, despite having always referred to them with he/him before ; o;) So that's what I'm gonna do from now on.
I'm not sure if this is in any way interesting information for anyone, but I've been thinking about it and it's relevant to the character, especially because they've been misgendered *forever* whenever I posted an illustration (which of course always only bothered me, Charon wouldn't care haha), so I wanted to share my thoughts here....

Aside from random gender crisis, let me also share some shop updates~! ✨

The books arrived last week.......... in over 40 boxes, 13kg each!!! ;;;;;;;;

The nice DHL person and I suffered greatly for about 40minutes, trying to get all those boxes from across the street, up the stairs, into the elevator and then into my apartment. I was pretty much fully dead afterwards XD

My living room is now a war zone, I've been packing as much as I could over the last few days, it's taking really long to sort through all the books, wrap them, put them in boxes, print the labels, print the customs form, sign that form, put everything on the boxes, triple check every step so I don't make mistakes and then find a place to store the orders until DHL comes to pick them up. I need to move into a bigger apartment tbh XDD 

Tomorrow the first batch of books will get picked up and I'll steadily pack a certain amount of books every day until it's all done, but for now my living room looks like this:

I still haven't even opened all the packages LOL;;;; Some are still in the corridor...

I packed another 40ish orders today, now I can draw a bit until I have to go to sleep, I need to balance these tasks out again, because while getting the orders shipped is important, it's also important that I keep drawing, albeit not as much for now~

I can't wait for the first orders to arrive at people's houses, I hope everyone's gonna like the book/s 😭💜💜💜
