Sketch Collection | issue #02 2021

Hello my gemlins~! 

To wrap up the year I want to show you some of the doodles and sketches I've done since I posted the last sketch collection in April 💜

In 2021 I definitely didn't have as much time as I used to to just doodle and practise, most of what you can see in these images is from November-December 💦

One of my main goals for 2022 is to find a way to streamline my work process more, workload is getting out of hand, both job- and household-wise XD
I'm very diligent with writing to-do-lists and keeping them updated and crossing things off when they're done, but the tasks just keep piling up anyway, which I'm both happy and stressed about, because on one hand it means I'm doing well work-wise, but on the other hand it means I'm getting a bit overwhelmed finding enough time to take care of my work without neglecting chores/other irl things too much, while also finding enough time to relax guilt-free @ _@) I might just be not organised enough yet, I'm determined to get better at juggling everything in a healthy way!
I have a lot of respect for everyone who manages to work all day and take care of everything outside of their job, too, without losing their mind @ _@) And I have just as much respect for everyone who might also be struggling to find a balance, because I'm sure it's a common thing but a lot of people don't talk about it because it can be embarrasing to be like "yes I am a good, responsible adult, nevermind the banana peel that's been rotting on my desk for a week because I was too busy/tired to throw it out" LOL;;; 

ANYWAY

That's not even what I wanted to talk about today, I'm just already in "PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR" mode and I'm excited for it~

I hope you enjoy browsing the sketch collection, I'm especially fond of the last two pages, I had a lot of fun working a little bit on Lost to Time character designs and of course drawing Misha a few times~ I drew a lot of Shallow Sleep stuff too, but that's not included in this PDF, since SS will be the upcoming project, I wanna share things for that in separate posts!

I'm also really happy with the two characters I created for my project with Clip Studio Paint, I've grown so fond of these two 🥺 I won't be able to use them for anything in the future probably, because I made them for CSP but I do know that they've been together since childhood, they're besties~~ She's a shape shifter (the little white fox he's carrying on his shoulder), he's a mage and determined to protect her from potential harm (shape shifters are very uncommon in their world and she needs to hide her ears a lot, which she will complain about nonstop because big ears need FRESH AIR OKAY), which is quite difficult because she's stubborn and easily excitable and acts before she thinks a lot of times. (they're both, of course, also very gay ✨)

And now~ I'll peace out until the new year, tomorrow my mum &sister+husband are coming over for my birthday which I'm very much looking forward to! Lots to do until then (I'm gonna make a very rainbow-y cake hehe)
