Meet Felicity: The Focal Fossa!
Added 2020-07-12 17:29:42 +0000 UTCA few weeks ago, I had this crazy idea - what if Ubuntu release codenames had fursonas?
The code-names themselves aren't trademarked or anything and, like most of what Canonical does for Ubuntu, it's all open source for everyone to enjoy.
So.. why the heck not make a semi-oc out of it?
Focal Fossa's name is Felicity, named by the community! There's a forum post with tons of different takes on the official artwork. I think making fursonas for Ubuntu mascots could be a ton of fun!
I commissioned Rainiing, the same artist that made the June Pride Egee. I love their cute cartoon-like style and I think it's perfect for prototyping sonas like Felicity!
I have no idea where to go with it from here though π. I'll probably post her to r/furry on Reddit but I'm iffy about even tagging Ubuntu on Twitter because I totally that get not everyone is super into furry stuff.
What do you guys think I should do? These are really fun to make and I'd like to share it without people feeling like the fandom is being pushed onto them, you know?
