This video was hell to record.

Something I didn't mention at all during the video was that Endless OS crashed on me SO MANY TIMES.

By "crashed on me" I mean, hard lockups. Every time I tried to do anything remotely I/O intensive, the whole thing would lock up.

I swapped out RAM, installed to a different hard drive, tried a different GPU.. The only thing that had any impact was the GPU - I switched to a GTX 660 which I totally forgot I had. With the 660, it locked up slightly less but it didn't totally fix it.

When you watch the video, look at the clock in each clip. SO MANY CUTS.

I'm like 98% sure Endless has a bad Nvidia setup. Vulkan didn't work, CUDA stuff and NVENC didn't work, and swapping my GPU is the only thing that made the lockups less frequent.

But why not say something about it in the video? Because I can't confirm it was the Nvidia stuff and that would just open the door to people saying "zomg Nvidia sucks!! you stupid for using Nvidia gpus!!!".

Anyway, I don't blame Endless OS if it was an Nvidia issue. It's highly unlikely they target computers with Nvidia hardware anyway. It doesn't make me love the OS any less!
