Duality

Hey gemlins 💜

Things continue to move very slowly as I'm still struggling with the occasional health issue T _T) I won't get into details again but the last week or so was a bit of a mess again and put me behind schedule once more. Honestly, at this point all of this is really effecting my... mood? And my motivation, too. Looking at my scripts and sketches and ideas I can't help but feel really deflated and bad about everything I'm doing, which is nonsense and will hopefully pass again once my HP are restored again. I'm feeling much better today already, so here's to hoping my body will stop being a complete disappointment soon :')

I did some writing the past few days to figure out the next chapters of #MUTED. The overall arcs are pretty much set in stone, what I'm struggling with is how to transition from one scene to the next and also how I want to tell the story moving forward? Like, how to work with panels to set a mood and not make it boring. I realised I've fallen into a very comfortable rhythm with my paneling and I'm actually not sure if I like it much. There's a lot that could be improved and I want to work on that :^I So I'll be reading and studying the works of comic artists and mangaka I look up to a bit more again, to learn from them and hopefully find my motivation and inspiration again too while I'm at it :'))

That said, the next #MUTED episode is in the works of course! It's going to be a long one and there are a ton of panels which will take AGES to draw, so I might have to cut it in half, tho I'm not sure yet where a good point to cut might be /o\ I'll figure that out later :'))

About the image above: Most of you will probably remember Charon 💜I missed him recently, and people have been asking a lot lately when Shallow Sleep is going to continue T T ) I can't really answer that yet but I definitely haven't forgotten about it! I doodled some SS related stuff the other day to maybe help me out of this funk, sometimes all it takes is just the opportunity to draw someone you haven't drawn in a long time and Charon in particular has always been my go-to-OC whenever I felt stuck with everything else, because I can put him into any ridiculously surreal setting and it always works :') There are no rules with him.

Anyway, that's all for now! I'll try to use all of my energy today to make some comic progress happen, so that I'll have something to share with you all soon! 💜💜💜
