late night WIP (plus some general updates from me! 💕)

it's 5am and I'm writing this from my phone because my laptop decided to take yet another step towards its grave and using the keyboard to write now looks like this:

it's most likely caused by defect hardware and I'd have to replace the keyboard entirely to fix it, which at this point makes no sense anymore since there have been new problems popping up every week since christmas.
i was planning on looking for a new computer around June when all the con and preorder stuff is over but at this point I'm sure that it won't take long until the whole laptop self destructs and I'm not risking having to do research on my phone and not being able to work for any extended amount of time.
so I've decided to put last month's patreon money directly back into the business by buying into a new computer 💦 a good one, hopefully. a desktop this time, because as much as i love having a laptop, i miss being able to upgrade individual parts to prolong the machine's life.

what a sexy design x) it's a new acer predator 3000 and from what I'm looking for it seems like the best choice, and i can even make use of a preorder discount because its only getting released next Wednesday. I've loved acer a lot over the years and imho they chose the components for this beast well, so I'll trust them once more!

that said, until then i can still use my laptop for anything that doesn't require typing, so i can still work! but it's all very laggy and exhausting OTL. i did lineart for almost 4 pages today and I've been backing my files up every half an hour IF my laptop was able to register the external hard drive for once 😂 everything takes twice as long and it's very annoying. so i really can't wait to get my hands on a new computer hhhh.

but anyway! up there is a WIP of the upcoming episode, i would LOVE to get it out by the end of the week but i anticipate more delays due to having to set up the new computer if it arrives this week at all OTL someone out there really doesn't want me to be able to stick to my schedule XD I'm really sorry that it's taking so long this time :(

but I'm glad this happened NOW that the preorder is already up and running, just thinking about having to do all the writing and the admin work without a functioning keyboard gives me the shivers fjskdhs
speaking of preorders!! thank you all so much for ordering a copy!!! 😭💕💕💕 the support is honestly overwhelming, i never could have anticipated so much of it in such a short time. you're all blowing my mind with your kindness 🤧
once i get the test print delivered I'll share some pages of that with you all, I'll do my best to make everything as perfect as i possibly can!!

but for now, I'm going to bed to get some sleep so i can hopefully finish up the episode's lineart tomorrow 💕 wish me luck that my laptop doesn't completely give up on me yet XD
