Added 2018-11-20 07:53:58 +0000 UTCWhen I realised it was Thank You Patrons day yesterday, it was already too late for me to draw something for it, but who says the day can't be expanded for a few more hours x)
So, let me say a few words as well.
To everyone who is currently supporting me here, has supported me in the past or will support me in the future: Thank you so much for being here, it honestly means the world to me!
In the past I had never considered pursuing art as my career, I always felt like I should keep it as just a hobby and get "a real job" instead, because surely, I'd never be good enough to make a living with my art. Fast forward a few years: failed studies, finished some other studies, had various jobs, all the while I kept working on my art, commissions, comics....... and at some point I realised that while I loved every minute I spent drawing, I despised every second I had to spend with some job that was draining the life force out of me, making it almost impossible to focus on and enjoy anything I loved.
It took me a few years to realise that all I wanted was to draw and tell stories and I decided life is too short to not follow my dreams. Might as well try and risk failure instead of not trying at all and dying with a ton of regrets.
So two years ago I quit my day job and jumped right into the freelancer life! I started out with only doing commissions for a few months to make some money, before I started MUTED and this Patreon, and it is 100% thanks to every single one of YOU that I could take on less and less commission jobs and focus all of my energy on my own characters and stories.
MUTED was only supposed to be a short story but now it's already been running for over a year and there's still so much of the story I want to tell. And I would not be able to do that without you. Every dollar, every retweet, every share and like and comment helps me to keep working on this, both financially and emotionally your support is what makes me get up in the morning with EXCITEMENT in my bloodstream, because I know it's not only me who loves my characters with all my heart, but also you who want to see them and learn more about them. And that's the most incredible feeling as a creator ; _;) π
tldr; I'm eternally grateful to be so privileged to have you gemlins at my side, encouraging me to improve myself every day and seeing the love you have for my art and my children, so THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, I hope you know how much I appreciate and cherish your presence!! πππ

Your art is amazing as is your story. It is not easy work combining work and writing as a job. You are so good and a very positive person. Keep up the good work.

You're kind and honest, qualities that are important. And I can only relate about "the real job" thing because I wanted to pursue art as a career when I was younger and my parents told me to NOT do that. They said I would starve, just like one of their friends, so pushed me to keep art as a hobby and do something else. I'm working in an art school now, although it's just in the administration staff. But I'm the one guiding the students applying to our school because the teachers recognized that I have an eye for art. So just like you, art found its way in my life even if "it was supposed to be a hobby". So I'm more than happy to help someone achieving their dream. Thank YOU for the wonderful art, for MUTED and all those wonderful characters you'r e creating. :) I hope we will see you here for a very long time and that you will get more and more support!
