Halloween with Maia

 “Maia’s Diary:  One autumn evening, my adorable, little Cutiepie visited me again and asked me a very special request. He said that the boat he lived on was having a ‘Halloween’ party and he wanted me to be his special guest; I was so thrilled I said ‘yes’ right away and gave him a big kiss for thinking of me! He told me that his ship would be passing over where we met today in two days and he can’t wait to introduce me to everyone. This would be a great chance for me to meet the rest of these ‘sailors’ that Marcell belonged to, and get some new items for my collection.  On ‘Halloween’, I swam up to his big boat and got to see the school of ‘sailors’ on the deck wearing these strange hats and costumes over the outfits Marcell would usually wear. There were weird decorations and sea vegetables on the deck that was little spooky, but I found it right away. They were also very surprised to see me and just stared at me; it’s like they’ve never seen a mermaid before! Just then, Marcell came out on deck wrapped in these white bandages over his cute outfit and greeted told them that I was his very special guest. He explained to me that ‘Halloween’ was a holiday where people dressed up in weird costumes and have fun together, which he told the ‘sailors’ to welcome me to their party. He also asked me if he could get me some food, I told him I already ate some Tuna this morning!  Marcell’s shipmates were so very kind to let me watch them bob for these red things called ‘apples’, sing songs together and let me keep the decorations for my collection, I’ll treasure items like the cauldron, pumpkins and witch sign forever! I think my favorite part of the evening was my Cutiepie climbing up on me and getting all tangled up in my hair, then gave me a kiss on the lips.  He’s so adorable, I just love him so much! After that fun evening, I blew a kiss to Marcell and his fellow sailors and thanked them for letting me join their party before heading home. I really want to go to another party with Marcell again, he’s such a great friend. Speaking of, I really need to finish making that little home for him when he visits soon.”
