The guards make sure the citizens behave, they maintain the functionality of the town by removing obstacles, -like huge leaves- blocking free movement of the people. They make sure nobody's outside by nightfall, and they warn citizens of dangerous weather conditions, like rain and strong winds. The guards are led by Captain Sharien, brave warrior and student of the Chief.
The scouts patrol the surrounding forests. They look for possible food sources, they take note of what fruit is in season and when they are ripe. They keep an eye out for possible threats, like rats, woodpeckers and other vicious animals. They bring news to and from the town, make sure that even people living outside the city know about all the recent events. The scouts report to the chubby and laid back Captain Mocklopf.
But both Captains are under the command of the wise Chief, who is always elected from amongst the most worthy teachers of the town.
