In my AU, Sombra is actually pretty reluctant to b r e e d in the beginning. Not because he doesn't want to have kids with the wife, but because of some concerns he has regarding the complications a pony carrying an umbrum fetus might bring. There's no documentation on an umbrum reproducing with a different species, so it's very much new ground they'd be treading.
