Doing Bus Work and Day 1 of Aging Daily

Hey there! We're all in lockdown, so I thought this was the perfect time to try out the whole daily video thing for fun. I'm lukewarm on the result of day 1's video mostly because of pacing. I think I'll try to shore up my speaky bits a little more tomorrow. This is all a fun experiment so let me know if you have any constructive criticism!

If you're curious, I ended up buying another window shortly after filming this video.

If you ever end up with small expriments you don't want to cram to the project videos but that are too short for main content, well, those are exactly the kind of behind the scenes extra stuff that would be perfect for Patreon.

One thing for a daily video that might make for something interesting to talk about is what your ideal road trip with the bus might look like.

Great content, the speaky bits were quite good. I have a small VW campervan with a popup roof, and am looking into building my own custom campervan using a larger Ram Promaster chassi. In that case I hope I have the opportunity to build a few different mockups of the interior and try them out for a while before I commit to the final design. There's a lot of stuff that can look good on paper, but are cumbersome in practice. Having driven around in near 100F weather, I can tell you that it's impossible to have too much ventilation in an RV. I hope I'll be able to get one or two large roof vents/fans installed, as well as a few fans sucking in air from below the van.

I think frequent updates are great, especially when we're all so dependent on our online content creators for human contact. Don't deprive your family of time with them just for us, but the to the extent you're able to do it, I appreciate it.

Do you have a way to measure tensile strength? That would be a great comparison between the painted and non-painted steel. Maybe hang it somewhere and add weights until it rips off :D

I also think your windows should be up higher. If you're standing in the bus you should probably be able to look outside in the distance instead of just being able to see the ground next to the bus. On the other hand, you should also be able to look outside if you're sitting, so there is probably a sweet spot that matches both criteria. As for the dailies: I'm looking forward to it and I'm curious how it will turn out :)

It bothers me too. I need to work on that

I really like this kind of content. However it would be awesome if you could trace the source of buzzing sound in your videos. It is especially pronounced at your new presentation desk. For example from 11:52
