Slushe Alone Contest

So, I kinda fucked up. Remember in the previous post I'd said I was working on 3 different scenes simultaneously? The second one of those was supposed to be my entry for Slushe's contest, but after spending more than 3 days on creating an environment and a character for it, all from scratch, I realised that shit just wasn't working, and there was no way I'd be able to salvage it in time before the deadline.

Luckily, in that time I'd also made a lot of progress on the 3rd scene, which is what you see above. This is inspired from a movie called Beyond The Black Rainbow, and turns out, that it fits the "Alone" theme quite well. We'll see how it fares against the competition.

Anyway, I just have the one render for now. Before making more, I'm first gonna give the failed scene another try. It's quite different from anything I've worked on before; I'm learning new workflows along the way. Challenging, but exciting. I'll probably post some WIP stuff tomorrow as well, to show yall what I mean.
