I'm just about to catch up on reactions I've missed, but because I'm not sure if my YouTube reply/comment went through properly...So Willow performing what you might call proper magic for the first time in Ep 22, like doing an actual full on spell, think back to season 1's episode 'Nightmares' and the Willow Opera scene. Okay, so the guy who is singing to Willow in that scene is performing a piece called "Bimba dagli occhi pieni di malia" from Madame Butterfly; the translation of the opening line is 'Child from whose eyes the witchery is shining" Buffy has a lot of foreshadowing sprinkled throughout the show, this was an early example of that. :)
