I totally understand where Stavvy is coming from, generally speaking, about landlords benefiting off tenants. But the zero-sum game that McDade posited isn't the way. The woman in today's episode, feels bad about being a landlord. Maybe advise landlords with guilty consciences to lower rents or do something to give back to their tenants. Landlord-ing doesn't have to be the neverending quest for maximum profits. She could be a good landlord and feel good about herself by giving people who can't buy a decent place to live. Because the reality is most people will NEED to rent from a labdlord. And selling is going to put her property back on the market to be bought by a predatory landlord. Point is, one *can* be a good landlord and we frankly need more of them given the realites if renting nowadays.
