Which do you prefer? When I leave a series open so it can be continued? Or do you like them finalized and completed?

The BIG question lol

Obviously by this point we all know how I operate but I'm curious what you all think. Im trying to word this in a way that doesn't make it confusing.

Im not saying I want to just ALWAYS leave a series open. It's a case-by-case basis. I like closure as well and really do want to finalize a bunch of them.

But as I've learned over the years if I leave something open, people always ask me to continue/finish but if I finish something there's also comments saying "Nooo we want more."

I'm not going to lie this isn't a bad problem to have. It means you all love the work! I was just generally curious where people land.

Personally Im a big fan of coming back to something I wrote a few years ago with new pictures and a new perspective. But I also know when it's a good time to put something to bed hehe

It depends on the kind of story I think. Not everything needs to be open ended and some stories need to come to a conclusion!

yeah this poll was more out of curiosity. im actually kind of surprised by the results lol But nothing is really going to change much. My process is like this because thats how my brain operates. Is it chaotic? Very much so. But its what enables me to just keep constantly creating :)

While closure is nice in some cases, I love the open ended ones. It either means more in the future OR it leaves to the reader to imagine the unfolding story. Both are great!

Remotes Journey, cause it is just a kind of swapping and nothing that you don’t feel after years. Our Son the Switcher, cause there are so many people involved and when you do an ending you have to clarify every character to honor such a type of masterpiece but that means the ending would take over 10 posts

A closure is sometimes good but an open ending leaves the reader with his own imaginations and how he wants this to continue, and series that are massive like „our son the switcher“ or „Remotes Journey“ should never have an ending

I prefer open, but sometimes I like closure. Nice to have a change up
