I enjoyed this chapter more then the other ones, the art is going good places. I'm totally lost though on why in hell they would feel any need or desire to get the game going and start that whole insane thing up again already. They just got done making a whole shiny new universe! Even with the time skip it's still stupid crazy super new. Even if the game is the only way to make new universes and it really is on their shoulders to handle it's creation, they've probably got at least a few million, if not billion, years before it's -needed-. We already have a huge comic exploring people playing the game. I really hope this is just a lead in to the discovering something new. Homestuck2 could go anywhere, explore anything it's writers can dream of. I hope it surprises us. (I did only real the cliff notes of the epilogues so maybe I missed something there)

2020-03-21 01:05:53 +0000 UTCThis upd8 was waaay better than I expected, Firstly we got to see Long hair Terezi with a styling new outfit which she probaly alchemised out of her and John's stuff, and secondly the main focus of Homestuck^2's plot has been revealed! The idea of them creating there own races to face off one another in "The Game" is exciting and amusing in its own way.. also while we are on the subject of alien races... HOT DAMN ECTO-ALCHEMOLOGY! This is something I never knew I needed to see in homestuck. Sburb alchemy was always one of the most addictive parts of the universe for me and to see it taken to the next level is captivating. I truly hope setting up the game isn't the last we see of this mechanic and we see other characters make creatures with there own capachalogued items in the future.

2020-02-16 17:07:11 +0000 UTCthe writing in this is sooooo good! the bit where dirk used that ecto thing on his past self in the background you can see one of those dna code thingies in his text color it looks like he subconciously wrote it on the wall?? i thought those codes were only for the original 4 kids and used to make bec? why is dirk writing code on his wall?!

I just think it would be hilarious if one of the character learned HTML5 just to screw with the others

Obviously Rose's introduction page, but also the one where Dirk sciences and there's all that Hussian length going on. Terezi's design is similarly R4D, but hard to appreciate next to the majesty of Rose's, gotta be honest. I love all the insight, love that the chess symbolism seems to be continuing between Rose and Dirk. Dirk's exactly the kind of guy who thinks playing chess makes him a genius. I admit I thought that would end up being a thing between him and Red Calliope but porque no los dos? Which, actually, Rose's crown reminds me of a chess queen, not sure it this is what the refrance. *Loved* the dialogue, and literally everything about the content. It's given me a lot to think about! And makes me feel especially urgent about getting some Epilogues theories out into the world before you steal the mystery from anything there! You're doing wonderful work, hope you all have a lovely day!
