Update 29th March - Pretty important, pls read.

Well, I can keep the usual stuff brief this week and get into the important stuff.

Okay, so here's the important stuff.

Gauntlet changes

I initially planned to only release gauntlet videos when they were all done. However, that means I'll only be releasing about one public vid a month until that point...which I feel is honestly going to tank my income. I'm obviously not all about the money, but I'd rather not have my income tanked. So I'll be doing the following.

Gauntlet vids will be released to patreon only at $5 plus tiers upon completion. Now, there's some stuff to keep in mind.

1: These vids are not meant to be done separately. You will be missing out on the overall experience somewhat by not having them back to back. However, the vids will still be okay to do standalone. Watching them early is a choice you will have to make and it's not necessarily the right one.

2: These vids will be watermarked. I will make the watermark as unobnoxious as possible, but it will exist. It's going to be a few months between the first early access and the full release. There's a very real threat that somebody else hosts it and fucks me. This threat is also why I am limiting the video to $5 and upwards. If somebody is going to reupload I at least want them to pay to do it.

Okay...now that's covered, where am I in making them? Well, the first is actually pretty much done. I am just waiting on a bit of art to have cum removed that was too much trouble for me to do. So expect that soon. I am now working on the hour long epic that is 02 vs Ichigo. It is a long video so it will be a while.

And now...the actual planned changes

I'm going to start this off by saying I won't make any changes until at least May and will take any feedback into account. Please don't panic cancel your patreon 

When I came up with the crowdfunding commission system, it was frankly genius. Everybody gets to contribute towards the vids that they like, I get paid, everyone is happy! The one thing I didn't account for is just how much you guys like my videos. Seriously, the support this past three months has been insane and my patreon has more than tripled  in that time. (Hell, this month is 5x over November).

See, what this system didn't account for is...growth. The more support I get, the more funding is added and I can't really scale my video production up to meet that. I have already refused over $400 in direct funding over past two months...and yeah. My efforts to hire people to help have been very hit or miss, mostly miss with them not saving a whole lot of time. The best time savers were when I hired people to do a full video for me...but they're not interested in doing more...so fuck.

So if I need to deal with growth and scaling, I want a system that will match that and I think I have the perfect idea. Presenting the video backlog multiplier!

Put simply, I'll add up all the minutes of the videos in the backlog. The higher the backlog the lower the multiplier. It will start at x1 and decrease to maybe x0.5. The amounts you contribute will be multiplied by the...multiplier.

So very basically, more backlog = slower video funding. This scales no matter how high this patreon thing goes. (And buying BB coins is more expensive, don't think I'm dumb)

If you have any feedback on this idea, please give me it as well as any alternative ideas you have. I have been advised to just end the crowdfunding system, but I really don't want to do that...so I'm hoping this is a good solution.
