🎉Today marks three years since the first release of The Seven Realms.🎉
On one hand, we can't remember what life was like before we started creating this game, but the fact that it's already been out for three years feels unreal.
Looking at TSR, Tae often wonders, "Why did I call this game The Seven Realms, not The Three Realms?" 🤭 But then she thinks of all the future characters she can’t wait to write about and doesn't regret her choice.
Thank you so much for your continued support! It's been nice to see new people join the community and share your positive thoughts on the game, and we truly appreciate those of you who have been with us from the start and are still around today. When I send out the monthly exclusive rewards, I always smile to see so many of the same names who have been supporters since 2022!
Neither Tae nor I had any game development experience, and it's incredible to us seeing that we're now both able to make a living off this while hiring several team members.
We have taken numerous gambles to grow SeptCloud, and we're now surrounded by a fantastic team.
It hasn't all been smooth sailing, but we've grown a lot over the last few years and intend to continue developing ourselves, our team, and our studio. We have a long way to go until we reach our ultimate goals, but we're so proud of what we've created so far, and we're excited to keep improving. Our ultimate goal is to be able to share our stories with you, with as much quality as possible.
Staying in Daz was our comfort zone, but the move to Blender allows us to bring more choices and branches to Realm 4 and more freedom to modify scenes or environments when needed. Before, if something was bothering us in Daz, we may not have modified it because it would take too long to reopen the Daz file to change that one element in every render. Or if several expressions were off, we would let it slide because it would take too much time to modify them (as loading each Daz file can be a pain and take forever). Now it's considerably easier, so we won't let it slide. Changing an environment was even more daunting. But now we can do it and have done it for Realm 4.
(Taking the time to enhance a new environment)
(Being able to quickly adjust facial expressions without it taking a lifetime to reopen the scene in Daz)
And that's only two aspects of how we push for improvement. Hopefully, you will be able to feel all those little details when you play Realm 4 and ACTC this year.
Our plan for 2025 is to release the Realm 3 side paths, Realm 4, and ACTC. And for now, here is a new ACTC preview :)
To celebrate our third anniversary, we'll run some extra image polls for free and paid members, and April supporters will receive more exclusive images than usual!
Thank you for being so supportive over the last three years. We hope you enjoy The Seven Realms and beyond as we continue our development journey!
