Update 18 - Behind The Scenes (The Seven Realms)

This Update was important, and we have a lot to discuss here! But first of all, if you haven't done so yet, you can wishlist Realm 2 on Steam! Even if you don't buy it in the end, it helps us massively when you wishlist us, as Steam shows us to more people the more wishlists we have!

To be honest, I was a little bit afraid of releasing it for several reasons. But let's first address Mei's craziness! I know she is not a popular Harem member, but I love her! I love how crazy she is and how she thought it would be totally okay to lick the ear of the Princess who hates her guts. She knew she might die, but she felt it was worth it just to see the shock in Kali's eyes. However, she's smart enough to stop at that and not push it further.

We also had a tiny peek at her abilities. Abilities that might play an important role at some point. But let's wait and see…

One thing that was stressing me out was the meeting with Ba'el. I went back and forth with his dialogue, wondering if I needed to tone it down a bit or not. He is meant to be annoying and to get under your skin. That's what he wants. But I didn't want it to be too much and for people to not listen to what he was saying because of it. I decided to still go with it, and I was really happy to see that most people seem to like him lol. It was also a lot of fun to hear after the update how many people were down bad for Ba'el's female form!

But yeah, that meeting and the following conversation with Leyala was tense. And this is the part I was worried about most.

Leyala is not perfect, and here we can see her clinging to her human morals. It is hard. No matter how much she loves Atlas, she can't imagine just giving up on the lives of millions of people. It can be annoying, all the more if you agree with Atlas' point of view. But I hope you trust me when I say that it is an important arc for Leyala and her relationship with Atlas.

We also got to see Ba'el and Lucius interact for the first time. Hopefully, you enjoyed their dynamic. Swiftly followed by some downtime with Kali and Kagome (or only Kagome if you are not in a relationship with Kali).

This was also the first Update with Shoe_Lac3 lighting and post-work. At first, I contacted him because I was having multiple breakdowns a day because I couldn't figure out how to make our animations work from Maya to Blender. He explained the process, but after more breakdowns on my part, he started to do it. Then I asked for advice for lighting and post-work, and in the end, we hired him for that too. The lesson of this story is to never accept to help me, or you will end up doing the work for me, haha.

However, as you can see, his work has massively improved our game's quality! It is thanks to your support on Patreon and Steam that we have been able to upgrade the game like this!
