Leyala - Behind The Scenes (The Seven Realms)

I had her backstory, the mystery revolving around who and what she is, but not her actual personality. To be honest, when I started writing her, I hated her lol. I had to rework her character a lot to come to this version of her and now I simply love her.
Leyala is sweet and naïve, but also incredibly smart. I wanted her to be able to evolve during the game and for the player to see her progression. Her beliefs will sometimes clash with Atlas’, and I thought it would be interesting to see how the player navigates that.
She is the first Love Interest and the only unavoidable one. No matter what she will stay bonded to Atlas and she will be deeply involved in the story. However, the player can decide how the relationship will go.
It’s hard for me to really talk about her personality in too much detail without spoiling the future of her character, so I will talk more deeply about her character in the behind-the-scenes posts for future updates!
Character Model:
As for her character model, it was also the first one that I finalised! I wanted to have a Megan Fox or Angelina Jolie kind of beauty without having their doppelgangers. You know that they are beautiful, but their features are not conventional.
I tried to have that for Leyala, I don’t know if I managed to achieve that look in your eyes, but I am happy with the result.
The image used for the preview of this post will be provided to Patrons (Second Realm Supporter and up) as a 4K wallpaper at the end of the month.
Fun Fact: Sticking to the theme of firsts, she is also the character featured in the very first image that I ever rendered when I started learning DAZ 3D almost a year ago. The image doesn't have any post-work and I have since adjusted various elements of the rendering process, but here is the first-ever image of Leyala. I have since made adjustments to her model as originally she was a lot skinnier than she is now.

Haha, to be fair that was a reasonable fear to have before playing it :D I love the works of Anne Rice and how her vampires are depicted. I'm not as good as her, but I try for all my characters to not be too "shallow" and to have some depth. Leyala will evolve and hopefully, nobody will compare her to Twilight when thinking of her :)

2022-04-25 12:41:48 +0000 UTCNot going to lie, when she was first introduced I feared she would be twilight level trope stuff. But I'm okay with that as long as she develops into her own thing. I prefer the slightly darker and deeper characterisations in Anne Rice novels. :)

However, the other girls are all interesting in their own way, so maybe you can have other saves for them and stick with Ley on your main path. Glad you're enjoying the game so far!
