Adventures in...ugh...Moving

Hello gentle folk, 

So as most of you here know, Sandra and I are in the process of uprooting ourselves from our home of ten years to make a big move to our dream location of Santa Fe, New Mexico. This entire month has been spent pretty much just pulling everything stashed for those ten years out of the caves and crevices of this house, going through it all, discarding, cleaning, setting aside donations, and packing up both our personal selves and the business.

Whew. I tell ya, this shit used to be WAY easier when we were both ten years younger LOL. This is the longest either one of us has spent in one location our entire lives. We really have dug in here, and pulling ourselves out has been like uprooting old trees. But the goal post is in sight (if not the finish line), and the movers will be here on the 6th to pack up the house and get us to our new digs. After that is the unpacking and getting our lives back to some semblance of normalcy once more. THAT will be the finish line, when we can finally relax and get back to arting!

That said, I do have some neat rewards in the works for May, but they will not be revealed until I can get my studio back together and in working order. So possibly by the middle of May I will be able to post those. I have a cool snarly coloring page in the works, as well as a new exclusive pin for the rewards tiers. 

I am also anticipating getting a good rush of creativity after we move, and am already inspired to do several new projects that will be of interest to you all. Sandra and I will be working together on (possibly) doing some tile mosaic in the new place. Broken Tile Mosaic is a big thing here in New Mexico, and we have a new fireplace that is just dying for something colorful. Doing tile mosaic will be new for us, but it is inexpensive as hell, and a new medium we are both dying to try. So if our landlord gives us the go ahead, you bet we will be documenting the process!

I also plan to do two new Egyptian pieces in the style of my black and white Anubis', and my Bast and Sekhmet. These will be Ra and Horus, so I am looking forward to working on that project too.

There are so many new and exciting possibilities for us both with this move, I can't wait for it to be over so we can start having fun! But alas, there is still SO much more work to do.
