So here is the next Egyptian piece I am doing, this time of Bastet, sister (maybe twin?) to Sekhmet. Bastet is traditionally known as “The Perfumed One” and her image was used on perfume vessels. She is also the playfully sexual goddess, among other things. She is counterpoint to Sekhmet’s ferocity and rage.
Here I’ve put down the first few layers of watercolor. I will begin working on the colored pencil here soon. Aiming to have this one finished later today :)
