A little behind the scenes clip back from my Retrieving Lost Items video that I meant to post here. For part of that video, I talked about how indictments are infinite use and I wanted some footage of the misleading indictment count that gets displayed in the indictment usage prompt.
So I fired up DSR on my PS5 and loaded an old character way back from launch, that I made to help re-test the level ranges, and just waited to be invaded. At SL32 I might've been a little underleveled for Sen's Fortress, but it took nearly an hour and a half to get invaded. I heard plenty of bell ringing during that time, but that's still a pretty harsh reminder of the dwindling playerbase.
Because I didn't coordinate things with a specific player I was just going to use footage of whoever showed up, but I was quite lucky here! I got invaded by someone roleplaying as the Dirty Colossus from Demon's Souls. Immediately upon meeting me they spit poison at me, which was super cool and very appropriate.
You can see me "fight" in a total nonsense way; I wanted to have some footage faking combat if I needed it, and also just standing completely still is a good way to get a lot of invaders to stop trying to kill you, so I threw in few insincere attacks and parry attempts. But without being able to see his HP (I like having the HUD off for most footage), I avoided attacking too much because I really wanted to make sure I lost the encounter.
So there's nothing interesting here to see in terms of a fight, I just kinda stand around and die on purpose, but I was really happy that I happened to get an invader with an interesting and creative build. Good job, whoever you are!
