So Sandra and I just got back from yet another awesome Colorado Indian Market. As usual we were bombarded by friends, fans (and fans who have become friends), and family, plus all the natives, hippies, pagans, new-agers, furries, freaks, geeks, wierdos, and the incredibly diverse ethnic crowd that we consider our people. They come to Indian Market in droves.
We are always shown such amazing love and generosity that we don't experience at every show, which makes Indian Market always our best show of the year. A majority of our friends live in Colorado, and when we do our shows up there, that is about our only time to see everyone. They come and bring us presents, they help us out at the show, they spend their money on us buying our products (and often times dinner), and they share their stories and make us laught like idiots. I adore them all, and I actually took pause this time around to really think about and appreciate my friends.
I have some of the most loving and truest friends I have ever known at this point in my life. We can go without speaking to one another (outside of social media) for months on end, and when we meet up at a show (usually a year later), nothing has changed. We pick right up where we left off. There is genuine caring and love there. They are my spiritual family. I don't know what I would do without them.
The love and support of our friends really made our show, and they have made the previous year—a terribly, shitty, no-good year—actually bearable.
So all of my love and thanks to my friends, my amazing fans, and my spiritual family. I could not be who I am without you. Thank you for being a part of my world <3
