Its been a little while! (And that's because I've been building a small studio! an update coming soon.) But I'm back now with a beginner tutorial series on how to use Blender 2.8s new real-time render engine EEVEE!
I this 2-part series you will learn how to create realistic materials, and setup great looking lighting that's being rendering in the blink of an eye in real-time! (pretty awesome I know.)

2019-08-26 07:38:40 +0000 UTCThe bottom slot is the color being added to the top slot on the mix shader, so the factor value determines how much the bottom slot is added. :)
2019-07-08 23:21:20 +0000 UTCHi Steve! Awesome tutorial, very impressive how you teach your node setup. I have a question, what's the difference between the up and down slot when we use the MixRGB/MixShader?. The mudd and the crack texture were at the down slot. Regards!
2019-07-08 23:01:29 +0000 UTCGreat glad to hear it! Yes Cycles will always be a bit more powerful, with ray-tracing etc. But Eevee is looking quite impressive for realtime!
2018-11-03 23:18:33 +0000 UTCJust finished your great tutorial...and Blender 2.8 is great too. Eevee is impressive; i have Intel i7-7700K, GeForce GTX780 and 16Gb memory, and rendered 1920x1080 in 15 seconds with volumetircs on. Cycles is still a very good renderer, but I wonder how long it will last matching against Eevee. Maybe Cycles is more customizable or more accurate? Anyways, very good job. Hope to see more tutorials about Eevee and Blender 2.8.
