I'm going to be blunt and make this clear. I have been having a lot of trouble with slots in my E tier. Without my knowledge, slots are being given and taken at inconvenient times due to an invisible queue system I cannot control. I'm sure you all have noticed this has been a consistent issue that is brought up time and time again. And frankly, I'm embarrassed I've let it happen this long
Admittedly my previous method has been counter intuitive and messy. I've been trying to work around the issue but have only made it more complicated on both my end and your guys' end. Thankfully, a client of mine has given me a fantastic solution that I would like to implement!
My previous method had a set amount of slots with a guaranteed commission, but I've decided to change it into a raffle system like so:
Each month I will now hold a commission raffle
Every member of E Tier will be given a raffle ticket for that month and automatically added to a randomizer
There is no longer a cap on the amount of members in the tier. As many people can join and get entered into the raffle
On the 7th, I will spin the randomizer wheel and choose 3 winners
Like before, each winner will get a commission! Full size, full render, up to 3 characters, whatever they desire
The next month will be the same, but the previous winners will be skipped to make sure it's fair for everyone (and then added back next month, process repeating)
Along with simplifying the queue system (and reducing the stress caused by my inexperience with Patreon's website), I feel this will also be a wonderful chance for everyone else to get a comm instead of just a set few patrons. Personally, I am very excited for this change and I hope you all are too!
