Warrior Tweaks, Balance Analytics, and Bugs
Firstly, Some visual tweaks are being made to the Warrior splash in response to feedback.
This actually ties nicely into the results from Patreon Poll #66:
36%: Strongly Prefer Red
25%: Somewhat Prefer Red
02%: Indifferent
25%: Somewhat Prefer Gold
11%: Strongly Prefer Gold
Combining the results from both red and gold, and ignoring indifferent votes, puts us at roughly a 63/37 split. It seems there’s a clear preference for sticking to red, although I do agree with feedback that the red seal could be made brighter.
In fact, Aleks got done with some Warrior splash tweaks just in time for releasing v3.1.1 to beta. There’s some added details along the entire splash to make the Warrior look a bit more rugged, most notably at the arms. There are also shadowing improvements, and the seal has been notably brightened to make its details easier to see. Here’s a comparison:

Other than these tweaks, there’s actually very little that needs polishing on v3.1, so there will probably just be one patch. I did do a passthrough on game balance though, and here’s what I’m concluding from the numbers so far:
Firstly, the Ferret Tuft is doing great! After a light nerf in the beta it’s now settled into being a high usage and high (but not OP) winrate trinket. This is exactly where I wanted it to be.
Overall the Warrior and Cleric are both up a little bit in winrate, the Warrior definitely needed that beta nerf and I have no overall changes planned for patches.
In terms of subclasses, the Warrior subclasses are nicely in line atm, but the Priest is still lagging behind the Paladin. I’ll likely give that more consideration and make larger changes in a future update, especially as I know the Paladin’s spells mesh together much better than the Priest’s.
In terms of talents the changes are mostly good, and I don’t think any changes are needed in a patch. The Cleric still needs some tuning to their armor abilities though, and Hearty Meal in particular is showing as a bit weak at T1, so I am giving that a quick numbers buff.
And lastly there are some bugfixes and technical tweaks as always. All the bugfixes are for pre-3.1 issues though, and on the technical side I’m swapping the game to a more modern rendering backend on iOS, and adding support for a new language! I expect to fully release v3.1.1 in another couple of days, and then It’ll be on to working on v3.2.
