Warrior Seal: Red Wax or Gold Metal? | Patreon Poll #66

Hey Patrons, In this poll I’m asking for feedback on one final adjustment to the Warrior’s splash art.

One of the changes when overhauling the Warrior’s splash art was adjusting his seal design. Way back when Aleks made the first iteration of the Warrior’s splash, I was pretty attached to the ‘Warhammer purity seal’ design, but as time has gone on I realized that it doesn’t really make sense for the Warrior.

Aleks has already updated the seal to use a more ‘nordic’ design, complete with a rune of protection etched into it, but there’s also the question of its materials. Red wax still fits nicely into the Warrior’s color scheme, and is the traditional color that people are used to, but a material like gold also fits well and makes a little more sense as a material used for decoration.

Aleks and I are both pretty split on which one works best, so we agreed that it could be put to a poll!

The result of this poll will determine which version of the seal gets used in-game! Note that this poll is purely about the material of the Warrior’s seal, and will not affect other possible tweaks to the splash art (including tweaks to the specific coloration or detailing on the seal itself).

This is a single-choice poll, will a range of options for expressing which version of the seal you like most, and by how much.

Red Wax: The traditional red color, as already seen in-game. Note that I am aware some details on the seal are a bit hard to see in both the splash and in-game sprite. The red seal can easily be brightened a bit from the image shown below. This poll is about the material and not the specific brightness of the seal.

Gold Metal: A new more brilliant golden color, as shown below. This would also change the in-game art of the seal to reflect the new material.
