Quickslot Swapper Survey | Patreon Poll #62
Added 2025-02-10 18:05:52 +0000 UTCHey Patrons! In this poll I’m getting your opinions on the swapper button used to let mobile players access all 6 quickslots.
Firstly, as a quick reminder, the quickslot swapper is an option mainly for mobile portrait players, where the game’s full 6 quickslots don’t have enough room to all fit in most cases. Instead, those players have a swapper button that lets them switch between two sets of three slots. Here’s a quick image showing all six slots (if there’s enough room) just four slots (standard portrait screen space), and 2x3 slots with the swapper enabled:

Whenever I do playtesting I find myself not really using the swapper too much, and I’ve been wondering how common that is. I do suspect there are better ways to get all of the quickslots on screen, and am interested in hearing how badly that sort of change might be needed. If you’re a mobile portrait players, please let me know how effective you find the swapper to be!
The result of this poll will help me gauge how well the quickslot swapper is currently working.
Poll Options
This time around just vote for the one option that bests fits how you use the swapper.
All patrons are encouraged to share their opinion by commenting and voting, but currently only the votes from Golden+ Supporters are counted when determining a poll winner. Votes from Shattered Supporters are worth double!
No need for descriptions this time, It's a pretty simple range of choices going from 'I'm not even a mobile player' to 'I don't even use the swapper and just play with 4 quickslots':

i use some quickslot containers, however the ones that contain the wands, never auto lockon properly, and i have to aim manually, even if the mob is highlighted. Out of the containers the wands auto target properly. Can you fix that? Also i'm another one who never knew there was a swapper; i play exclusively on mobile

2025-02-10 21:34:34 +0000 UTCLong press shows me too much stuff. I don't want to see food or other rarely used stuff. Also the quickslot bar shows you the remaining charges, and is always visible. If I have to long-press, I end up forgetting about the items.

2025-02-10 19:57:54 +0000 UTCI am golden, and I answered "infrequently, I find it cumbersome". That's not accurate; as a phone player, I use it frequently, AND I find it cumbersome, lol. I'd be happier if the 2x3 boxes were stacked on top of each other, so I never have to switch. I find that I sometimes forget about items in my quickslot because of the extra time/effort it takes to switch over, and the icons being too small for the slots in the background. I wouldn't have that problem if all six slots were accessible all at once. I'd happily give up the bit of space at the bottom of the screen.

2025-02-10 19:07:16 +0000 UTCTried the long-press on the inventory button? Personally, I use it once every two dozen games, but it might be your thing.

2025-02-10 18:43:06 +0000 UTCI do have enough space to see the 6 quickslots, but I would like to have more of them. I basically don't use activated items that don't fit in the quickslot bar because it's too cumbersome to go through the inventory menu. I'm not talking about potions or stuff like that, but artifacts, wands, thrown items or the armor abilities. It's just not practical to open the inventory repeatedly. I would really love an optional second quickslot row, even if it doesn't look good.

2025-02-10 18:20:30 +0000 UTCI find myself forgetting it’s there, and not using the items that are in those slots. I usually end up putting the Unstable Spellbook there, but forget to use it at all cause it’s not very visible, and I have no idea how many charges are available.
